i can do a strut conversion but i want to do the car good and right the first time so i don't have to stuff around with anything ever again hopefully. fingers crossed. I'm getting coil overs made up from pedders. its costing me $900. i give them my old strut they cut it up modify it and the strut top and put gas insert into it and turn it into coil overs.

the auto is meant to be fair strong they r. but I'm not going to do a powerglide as its a weekend car and its going to be engineered. any pics would be awsome aswell as I'm making my engine mounts at the moment. i thought i would do ford stud pattern as there as many rims available and i need a rim 15 inch or bigger so y not go ford with simmons wheels or something like that on it. when u do the diff get it reconditioned and when they do it it wont cost much extra as all to change the diff ratio and all that. and if u r thinking of getting a pintara diff cut down its easy to do at home and weld everything up straight the only problem u r going to have it getting your axle resplined. and having to measure it all up to be accurate. if u got time y not and have a go at it. i work as a mechanic and once i get home i really can't be stuffed most of the times working on my own car. also if u r putting different rims and bigger tyres aswell as changing diff ration y not go all out and just change your tyres to a good looking profile get and get your speedo gear changed and made up to get a good km reading. also with the powerglide setup depending on how u drive u blow one up. ive got mates with xb drag car, vh commodore, and vl wagon and 2 of them have powerglides and they r just so expensive to buy and get fixed up when u blow one up. the VH showed in street commodores a month or 2 ago black with a blower out the bonnet.

I'm using a auto transmission out of a scorpian with a 3 grand convertor. and the diff i am using a ford diff out of a el-ef ford. it costs around $2200 to get it shortened and made to fit with a lsd and with the brakes all working. the reason i went a ford diff is because of the stud pattern as my front brakes are from hoppers stoppers the cost $1200 for the fit with billet axels and everything u need to bolt them up and the minimum size rim u can use is 15inch. they are 290mm rotors and twin piston calipers. the reason I'm doing all that work for brakes and everything is becuase I'm getting in engineered with out a turbo. then bolt it up afterwards. I'm from melbourne. where u from. id love to see a picture of underneath your car. mine has a leaf spring that runs from one side to the other side of the front suspension.

G'day mate i have stripped my ke15 down and got my 4g63 engine and my gear box and I'm in the middle of changing water pump and all that over. ive just come to a hult as i am looking at your pics and it looks like that u have romoved your K frame from your car. the problem with mine is that i have a leaf spring that is used as part of suspension that runs from drivers to passenger side. any help would be great dude.

hey guys i have a ke15 spriner 2 door that is all original and just got no interior. the thing is straigh as anything and only got a rust hole the size of a pin on the firewall. i was just wondering how much would it roughly sell for its unregistered but still has original motor and full drive line, including the metal hug cpas. if wanted also i can weld up the hole in the firewall if i will get more for it. but at the moment just wondering how much i would get for it as i blew up my drag car the other day at calder park and now got myself in debt to get it ready again for easter nats. thanks guys

yeah stuff that I'm only doing mine because its just so cheap and easy for wiring and everything no one could even imagine and the power u can get out of one is astonishing. I'm only after to pull up next to a p plater with a 5l v8 and just bet it off the line and mostly up the road. all p platers thinks there cars are the best until they pull up next to a little 4cyl that doesnt look any good and looks slow. i can't wait

its going into a ke15 sprinter at the moment its in bare metal. going to paint it alaskin white and and wait till i do under the bonnet becuase i sorta after some help with engine mounts and pics of them to make it easier. but is just sunday ive relised how much u really have to respect a powerfull turbo car becuase my mate just smashed his 300zx tt into a tree after 5 min of having it. we painted it big cooler exhaust and 12 pound of boost. so mmmm not happy but shit happens. this is y I'm going to be running mine on low boost for a little while to see what blows up and how it goes till i start running bigger boost.

hey guys ive just started my conversion my mates been talking about doing it for a little while and now ive seen this I'm going ahead with it. is anyone able to help me with engine mounts maybe some pics or something. anything would help please. also a sigma box would be alright to bolt up if i don't give it a hard time. thanks guys. also i just got myself a 4g63 turbo kit including oil lines, turbo, manifold, and everything else i need for the conversion for $300

hey mate. a good conversion is go down to your local wreckers and buy yourself a 4g63 out of a lancer or a hyndai then go onto ebay and buy yourself a trubo kit for $600-$700 they go in easy as all hell and the wiring is so basic. them for your drive line get a tail shaft made up and use a sigma gear box they arent that strong but will last if u don't give it to much shit. I'm just in the process of putting mine in my car now. i know with ke55 brakes on my ke15 it will pass enigeers in melbourne but got to use a good exhaust system and use a charcoal canister which u can get off any car. and in the way of a fuel system buy a variable fuel pressure reg $45, surge tank $110, any external fuel pump for a lift pump from your tank to your surge tank and then use a vl or vl turbo fuel pump $110 for your pump from your surge to your engine and some bundy tube from a place like pertek or enzed for a return line. its easy so far mine has cost me $1100. enigine cost $250, gear box $75, clutch $150, and the rest i mentioned above. and my tail shaft is under $100 so its easy

yeah i told the bloke they werent worth that much and said hey look there is rust and no interior and u will get just about nothing for it so he said yeah $400 i work with the person and i told him that when all original i should get $4000 with no rust and new white paint job. the paint job is costing me nothing just paint thinners and everything else so its a bargain

hey guys i recently brought about a month ago a white ke15 sprinter ke15 sprinter for a new project car. this thing was pretty much stock with a burnt out interior and that someone had jsut lowered. ive now just raised it up and just wondering how much one of these things is worth as I'm might be going an engine conversion. the only rust on it is a tiny hole in the firewall and i a hole in the top left guard the size of a pin hole. other than that its just surface which is getting fixed now. also in a couple of months once registered and its grown on me a bit more ill be putting a 4g63 engine which my mate is giving me for nothing with a turbo setup just becuase he wants to see how hard it will go and see it get up and move. thanks heaps guys ill keep u guys posted on how things go if wanted aswell

hey guys just another one of my stupid questions. i was just wondering would the back seat from a ke30 corolla fit into a ke15 without much stuffing around. also would the front seats me alright aswell. I'm struggling to find parts for my ke15 sprinter. the whole interior was on fire thats y i got it so cheap and now finding it hard to find parts. help plz guys thanks heaps

hey guys I'm having trouble finding myself some ke20 hub assemblies so I'm now thinking of changing it to ke30 by changing the stud pattern in the front and rear.meaning my new rims a just brought are now up for sale. but i need to know if the front hubs and the rear diff with all bolt together and will it need any cutting or anything. has anyone done this and how hard is it. thanks guys

mmmmm yeah maybe i have a strut problem. I'm running 185/65 13 tyres so i might look into that or maybe find some 185/60 the i can borrow or something to see what happens it only just rubs a little not much at all. thanks heaps guys

nah they r a mag wheel and they didnt come with any tyres on them i need to know what tyre size and profile ill need to run so the tyre wont hit the front struts. the tyres ive been given for nothing where off my mates lancer which had 13's on it

hey guys ive got a ke15 sprinter that in the process of getting registered. i just went out and found myself some 13/5.5 rims for my corolla and got some free tyres off a mate and came to the problem that it hits the strut tower. the rims i brought them off where from a ke20 corolla. i was just wondering what size tyres i have to run to get them to fit I'm in the process of hunting down some ke20 hubs for a brake upgrade but can't find any of them so u know of any for sale I'm willing to buy and pay for postage aswell. thanks heaps guys

I'm copying another guys engine setup which is a 5k witha t28 turbo and other mods that makes 159rwkw and it runs 11's with all metal parts. becuasei have rust in mine in taking them off and replacing them with fiberglass to be lighter I'm actaully doing all new bushs in the front and rear then taking it to my mates house for him to place mini tubs in it for bloody traction. ive done my research if u want to do mini tubs all u got to do it make it a 2 seater and u can only for 50mm I'm pretty sure it was till u need to enginer it so its a plan pumped rear wheel archs and mini tubs

hey i was just wondering anyone knows if fiberglass front gaurds bonnet and boot is legal in the state of victoria as I'm trying thinking of getting some made up for my ke15 corolla i was thinking it might be legal as it is full chassis. also if anyone would mind one aswell ill love to organise to get them for someone i should be getting the bonnet at the start of next month. and the rest slowly bit by bit. thanks heaps

hey mate ive got one at work and it looks like a alright size I'm thinking of the same thing. make everything up and try it as it depends on a number of things but if its to big which i would have to say i don't think it would be its easy enough to hunt down another turbo with the same flangers on it most turbos use a t3 t4 sort of flange and they are easy to swap over ive done it on a couple of cars so far find a bigger turbo with the same exhaust and inlet flanges as the one that came off all i had to do once was modify the oil line thread which didn take long at all. hope that helps

yeah just wondering where I'm might be able to get a 7k from as i think ive mentioned with my vl that is a pig to drive on most days it hits boost and I'm either still going the same pace or its caught traction and launched at the moment it runs 12.30 with my engine builder driving it. with me driving it i got a 13.1 shit launch and shit gear changes. also it mainly sitts in the garage as i got pulled over in it and got in shit with the law about safely driving. but ive got my rolla and want something that will go hard as f*** and something in it so when it hits boost it will loose a bit of traction I'm not fussed about high speeds and its goes this fast thats how people die going to fast than they can drive like the 4 guys the other week on the free way. traggic for the 3 passengers but the driver deserved it. stupid speeds. the reason its on gas aswell is becuase of fuel prices but my vl with the v6 ecotec runs awsome on it once i got the heads done to suit and easy as hell to tune. my corolla runs the exact same gas system and ive found it goes good now. no carbies no nothing 90 degree elbow from the intake manifold to a gas research throttle body. to a impco b2 convertor. all this talk and replies is awsome and I'm learning a bit thanks guys

well its in getting painted white again and the rust removed the only bit of rust in it so far is in the top left gaurge I'm trying to hunt one down so it saves me using bog. but i will be staying toyota engine all the way no rotorys becuase i have driven a couple and not just for me. i also have a vl with a v6 eco tec in it with a garret 35-40 turbo and its on straight gas heaps easier than stuffing around with tuning and bigger injectors bigger fuel pumps big fuel lines. but getting back to the ke15 its in awsome condition interior is next getting it retrimmed to standard but if anyone would be interested in swapping or some cash for a ke35 i would love to. mine is a ke15 sprinter I'm not sure how much they r worth. i got mine for $400 running no reg or rwc. still for the original enigine it came out with outa factory.
