  1. Anyone know of more old scool car movies from the 70's-80's?? Oh, and 'It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World' had a few crazy runs in it, as did it's remake 'Ratrace' (not nearly as good imo).
  2. Booo, mustangs are girls cars!!
  3. Drivers who go 15km/hr under the speedlimit because the other lanes are going slow.... but nothing is stopping them!! Then they started doing the "brake hop" and doing finger signs because they thought I was too close. I was trying to signal back "no the one on the right"
  4. Down-drafts or side-drafts? My Toyota down-drafts came fully assembled. I don't know much about any of that, but I can take a heap of pics of the linkages for you if it'll help??
  5. The Blues Brothers & Blues Brothers 2000
  6. The movie was hilarious!! Not even nearly as good as the show, but great as a comedy with a great car.
  7. OK, I like car movies... what "straight" bloke doesn't?!! Some of my favorite would be (in no particular order): Vanishing point (from 1971), I've watched that over and over, just great! Gone in 60 seconds (original and new version) Black cat run (not a great movie, but great chases) Cannon ball run Initial D (not nearly as good as the old scool movies but worth watching) Deathproof (slow to get into, but well worth the wait) EDIT: forgot to add Mad Max 1 & 2, also great chase movies! Also Dukes of Hazzard... That's all I can think of at the moment. What would you add to this list??
  8. lol, know the feeling Jip, have a brother just like that. Dumps his family (has 2 kids), to be a rock star and get groopies. Then realises everyone thinks he's a dick and goes back to his family... then does it all again!!! But he's still my brother and although I'll never support him in any of that shit, I'll never hold it against him. I will still tell him straight what I think of what he's doing, then get over it and treat him as my brother...
  9. OK more pics as requested, not the best pics was in semi shade... Now I just need to get back my gauge pod, glovebox-lid, ash tray, fuel flap, and I'll be happy...
  10. Cheers, I will roll her out when I get home and take some snaps. The front is staying off untill the motor is in..
  11. Fantastic! looks like a 67, whats the first 3 digits on the vin?? Have a look in the Rollaclub database (add your car on the end), it will help you figure out when your car was made. Edit: Chobis, they come up on ebay fairly regularly.
  12. I personaly think the 67/68 Camaro's make the mustangs look like girlie cars!
  13. Also, spotted my KE10 back at my house!!
  14. Spotted a very tidy ke30 used for car football last night at Rays Hell... Then they dropped it from the crane! Wasn't much left.
  15. Thanks. I'm hoping this journey is seen as an inspiration and not a deterrent :no2: Edit: (No spellcheck on fast reply!)
  16. 67Rolla is coming home around 10am tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!! :no2:  :P :y: Oh, and I'm going to Ray's Hell Stunt Show tonight! :D This is one of the best weekends of my life... top 20 anyway.
  17. I can tell you the valve clearaces, does that help?
  18. Resonably sure you can buy new cams... will confirm next week. As for which cam, you want to stay mild or it won't be "traffic friendly" or so I hear.
  19. It's like a 1-3 day corse, there is no Lerners for a forklift! Also, despite our useless storeman I can vouch that no pallets are dropped at our work. If there is any degree of difficulty I kick him off the fork and do it myself! My fist job where I got my fork ticket was moving 10m bundles of steel on uneven terrain, and getting 8m packs of gyprock through 5m doors. Was great learning with the harder stuff, made everything else seem easy! Worst experiance I've had on a fork was trying to lift a 10m bundle of steel ( tines have a span of about 1m...) over a truck on uneven ground. Hit a pot hole and the whole thing started to slip towards the cab! I quickly flicked the pack past the cab and managed to drop it just past the truck! Driver thought his cab was going to cop it for sure :no2:
  20. Any moron can get a forklift ticket... I've got one :no2: Edit: That brings me to something that grinds my gears. I hired a storeman because he had several years experiance and seemed like a nice enough guy. He is useless on a fork, can't think for himself, and is basically a waste of oxygen! We got a 16yo to "help" him do his one man job... and the kid does everything better than him!! AND he's so dumb he thinks it's a great thing that we got someone to do his job for him! If it wasn't for the absolutely ridiculus rule that you have to be 18 to get a fork ticket, the kid would have his job! Now we are trying to get him to just keep things that need to be moved with a forklift tidy... I end up giving up waiting for him to do it and doing it myself. Anyone know of a good storman looking for work in WA??
  21. I think some of the hits to the head had a negative effect!
  22. This is Sash, she's a Rotti x Ridgeback. This was just after she had her dew-claws removed.
  23. Updates!! Car is coming home this weekend, after 9 months at the panel shop! All the body is perfect (or close to) inside and out... The goop in between the panels below where the data-plate goes didn't go too well with the primer/paint, this will be cleaned back and redone before she comes home. The rest of the bay looks perfect! Interior all painted. After many many, MANY hours the bonnet is finally perfectly straight! How about those lines (bootlid is not fitted). All in all I think she's on schedule to make Motorvation...
  24. Happy Birfday :P
  25. Very sad...
