Great read. I wouldn't part with any of my cars for $2000. I have a 20V 4AGE for my KE20 that I don't have a fixed plan for Garnett, would that be a candidate for the Ethanol conversion?? If I did convert would this make it easier to pass an emissions test? Would this then produce less emissions than the 3k that came out of my KE20? I bet I would have trouble finding a servo if I did get this done.. :jamie: I don't know much about ethanol, would love to know more.

If you want to be able to drive this on the road you don't want anything bigger than 1.6lt (4AGE). If you can track down a 7K that's a 1.8lt, but a lot less power than the 4age. I would love to see you drop a 1UZ in there... would be great in a straight line, no turning corners for you! :jamie:

Sorry to re-post... I accidentally posed in the wrong thread before (had 2 tabs open)... removed from there. I just got back from Bali... Heaven for a Toyota man, more than half the cars are Toyota's and there are hundreds of overrated condition old FJ Landcruisers :) Saw 3 x KE20's, all very tidy but this silver one had a skirt and wing... looked great! Saw several KE30's, a great white one with the same treatment as the silver 20. A couple perfect condition AE82's. Lastly... dozens of pimped out black XE7X's :yes: All these were seen while travelling so no pics :yes: Did get a shot of this little thing

Sorry but I don't even like the KE70 dash in the KE70 :P That era had the worst interiors in my opinion. As the KE70 are mostly thrash cars this isn't really a problem tho.

As several people above have mentioned, it's all about the prep. You will need to sand and primer if you want any kind of decent result.

I agree that this is a personal preference thing... but I cringe when I see an old car (edit: pre Ke70) with one of those tacky looking sports wheels. Ruins the whole look in my opinion.

Hi all. In case you didn't notice this is the longest period of minimums below 5'C Perth has ever experienced. We have had a couple of mornings dropping to -3'C out in Gosnells. On one of these freezing nights we had to leave our beloved Mumbleweed out of the garage... here's some pics of what she looked like in the morning. We actually heard the ice crack when we opened the doors :P Then last night we had a storm... wind managed to knock over my spare KE20 windscreen :bash: Man that safety glass goes everywhere!

Not bad, might use that joke but change it to AFL grand final... I refused to pretend I care about soccer every 4 years :P
