  1. Damn, what ever happened to that guy then?? :hmm: He met us at Maccas I think a year or 2 ago :P
  2. Is this the Rolla that met up with us at one of the cruises?? It looks like it... but had no scoop then. This is one of very few (I'm still trying to think of another :P) WA Rolla's I would like to enter Motorvation with.... I wonder how many WA members I offended then? :hmm:
  3. Yeh a fair bit to do but the moneys there now so should be ok... I'll start on her after Christmas. Basic assemble (doors, panels, heater setup, gauges etc) Off to auto-elecy Dash to trimmers Bumpers to repair shop Then full assemble and windows First cruise she's going on after all this is back to the panel shop in Goomalling... don't want any of you seeing her before that cruise :P Once that's done... :D Oh and it will be a slow cruise with noooo gravel/dirt tracks :P
  4. I should be running some time in Feb.... Not interested until then :P Soooooo can't wait to cruise in 67ROLLA!!!!!!
  5. Updates!! I'm feeling better about the whole thing now :D I have money on the way that will let me finish the car to the standard I want. I just brought some goodies, a overrated condition side indicator (still need to find other side :P) and... brand spanking new, genuine Toyota grill!! It's overrated condition, box looks like it's been on a shelf for 40 years :P I should have the cash some time in December, so work starts in Jan. Now I just have the following to sort out: Assemble car gauges, rubbers and all (not as big a job as it sounds ;) ) Get car wired up (all hidden, battery in the boot), with new deck and speakers fitted :D Get dash repaired Get bumpers repaired Re-chrome bumpers, headlight surrounds and side strips Paint quarter window frame black (not the chrome bit the other bit) Get windscreens fitted Drive the car!!! ... back to the panel and paint shop :P Then see if I can convince the Castrol Edge boys to do me up some racing vinyls for her :P Would love the old green and red stripes on her... :D That about does it... as far as I can remember :P
  6. Been through this a couple times on here (for the KE10 but the story will be the same). These are the places to go for rubber, in the order I would recommend them: Scotts Old Auto Rubber Clark Rubber Rare Spares Clark Rubber is good for odd bits like baily channel as they have it in store for you to compare your old rubber to. Don't buy rubbers off ebay... been there, done that ;)
  7. Hi Cyberpunky It's hard to give a value without seeing the car, but from your description I would think this is at the top end of KE10's I would expect to get $5-8k for her... I know this sounds low when you look at money spent but I haven't heard of a KE10 selling for more than that in Australia in recent times. I am in the same boat (but not looking to ever sell), will be just over $20k spent when my KE10 is finished but I'd be hard pressed getting more than $5k for her. I hope this is helpful, best of luck with the sale.
  8. So you just want it in.... or engineered/registered? :lolcry:
  9. I love your aviator caption (member title) :lolcry:

  10. Yeh I know, was always the plan to head straight back to the paint shop when she's done... I've calmed down now :P Now I just have to explain to the wife the hole in the bedroom door that I hit after I scratched the car door :( Oh and funniest home video's... yeh, kids hurting themselves is funny the first few times but...no, it's still funny :lolcry:
  11. WGMG... Everything right now!!! I managed to scratch 67Rolla's drivers door :bash:
  12. Sooo f#*%ing pissed off with the whole thing! Need money (that I'm never likely to have) if I'm ever going to finish her, and I've spent too much money to give up. Sick of having parts all over the place and trying to keep them from getting damaged. Managed to scratch the drivers door today, then managed to punch a hole the bedroom door of the room it was in... didn't really help matters much, but it was required at the time :(
  13. This still doesn't affect anything. You have to be caught and charged 3 times... not cars of the same model as yours caught and charges 3 times. If you can't pull your head in after you get caught once, twice... maybe you don't deserve to have your car ;) Not saying that you are one of these people, just that your argument is flawed.
  14. Looks soo tidy. I really hope I have my car done in time for the Bay to Birdwood next year. Can't wait to roll with all the overrated 10's you got over there. :)
  15. Pff... would look better in my KE10!
  16. It's a Toyota.. no one will care if you take it ;) We Toyota fanatics are a rare breed :)
  17. Love the pics. Would love to try something similar with my Corona... but on a WA scale  Perth to Broome... 2237km drive each way, would need 4 days for that return trip  Edit: and I wouldn't risk the no spares thing on those roads... spare hoses, belts, water pump, heaps of water and spare tyre a must. Oh and something to clean the front end when I hit one of those stupid cows that always stand on the road at night ;) 2nd Edit: ...Best sunsets by far are in Broome, ask anyone who's seen one there :)
  18. Gavclassic has a 7K in his KE15 (I think it was a 15??), He would be able to tell you if the mounts need to be changed. I would suspect they do need slight tweeking.
  19. Fun looking project, quads always look tough :)
  20. Can you imagine that law with our shonky legal system?? :hmm:
  21. I need another one this weekend as a passenger... need to sunburn the other arm
  22. Sorry, it's so small I can barely notice it.... What a monster!!
  23. Thanks Trev, I know what I'll be doing this weekend :y:
  24. Any word on the Toyoglide Phil?
