  1. I got mine too, thanks. Not sure if I should put them on my BMW?? :hmm:
  2. Agreed... I love my new-old-stock 67 grill, took 2 years to find :)
  3. Went down to the shops to get some late breakfast and this was parked next to me when I got back to the car. Not the tidiest, but not bad.
  4. Thanks, I was having trouble finding an active forum. I had a look on ebay for an alternator, about $100 delivered from the us. $70 for a new window motor. I was just waiting till Monday so I can check against local price.
  5. Sounds like a good enough reason to me :lolcry:
  6. Shhhh, don't let the wife hear you say that! Now that would be fun! :hmm:
  7. Still got everything else for now... Once I get the Beemer up to scratch (mech & elec) I'm trading the Rona for some minor body repairs on the Beemer. She got backed into a pole, not major but would like to fix.
  8. Yeah, that was the plan (the just drive and enjoy part), just gotta fix the issues that stop her from running :P
  9. OK rear main seal or input shaft seal (not sure which yet) and alternator will be getting replaced next week or week after... If I can get that done and replace the drivers window reg for under $1k (which it's looking possible) than I'm all good. Not the steel I thought but still a decent buy :)
  10. Are you on soarercentral.com yet?? If not it's a must! I wasted thousands before I found out who were trusted mechanics/auto sparkies recommended by the forum. The guy's are (or were back when I had my Soarer) very helpful. :) Good luck!!! Edit: post or pre 91 Soarer?? not as much help for pre 91 Soarers on the forum...
  11. ...Looks pretty smugly to me
  12. I don't want to say now... wasn't the bargain I thought it was! $2K even
  13. I'm not game to drive her with an oil leak like that. Just got off the phone with a mechanic. He thinks it's the rear oil seal :( Car was sitting for a couple months, seal dried out then cracked when she was driven again... Does make sense.
  14. Hi all, As requested by Spencer I'm starting a build thread for my new wheels. Well things are not looking to rosy this morning...I am having the buyers remorse: I felt sick when I moved the car (after charging the battery that went flat over night) and saw this. Other than the fact that she doesn't like to keep her oil in and runs the battery flat over night... she washes up a treat :blinks: Well this is the first time I've been conned on a car purchase :( She really felt good in the test drive and looked like she just had a few minor electrical faults with non essential systems... now I know why my low offer was accepted. :P
  15. I only just noticed the wickedcampers.com sticker
  16. Thanks Spencer, yeah I've always liked the look of the E30's. I'm doing a bit of digging and will try and sort out exactly what I need tomorrow. But first... a thorough wash and polish is in order!
  17. That looks like a wicked van??
  18. Hi guys, I just picked up this little baby She has a few little issues but I think she's good value for what I paid ;) Now... anyone on here know much about E30 Beemers?? She has some issues with the electrics. Nothing that will effect her duties as my daily driver but it would be nice to resolve them. The oil pressure sender is not working (light stays on), the drivers window reg is dead and the battery charge light won't turn off... :P
  19. Sounds like you're not really ready to be a responsible driver... you chose the name t18drifts. Sorry man I think your great value on the forum, always amusing, but it does really sound like you have more growing up to do ;) Edit: Perhaps that is a little harsh. If you plan to take up drifting under controlled conditions go for it  I would suggest being extremely careful if you plan on practising on private property, last thing you want to do is hit someone or someone's car/house.
  20. .... not long enough :hmm:
  21. Nice work as always :y:
  22. Earliest KE10 shipped to Australia is a 1967. Some other parts of the world got Rollas in 1966... but no 1966's in Australia (unless someone has privately imported one...)
  23. Reeces PBC's are fantastic!! I had some a couple weeks back... need more!
  24. Sounds like fun, is this to be a track or road car? Need lots of build pics!! :D
