  1. Dave, I can't help reading every post of yours in king Julian's voice... makes it so much more fun  Back to the matter at hand, I've only ever taken the sump of with the engine out of the car so I'm no help to you. I think it will be rather tricky without an engine crane but Tyler's idea might work...
  2. Well that was a great day out :) Plenty of rolla love. The ke70 was fastest on stage one from what I heard. Rear axle came loose after that. They tried to fix it with ratchet straps and cable ties but it didn't last long. There was also a super tidy ke25 running a 2t-3t hybrid. Very nice to watch.
  3. Anyone thinking of going to this??
  4. As far as I'm aware the 67/early 68 models had the thin ones, the later KE10B/KE11 had the larger. Please correct me if I'm wrong peoples :) Edit: My car is a 67 but my quarter panels are off a KE11 so I have to modify the mounting hole slightly to fit the set of early lights I've got for her.
  5. As far as I'm aware both were either optional or aftermarket. I have seen the shelves up for sale a few times but I've seen more cars without them then with them.
  6. Hmm thanks Drew, I think I might do the same. Easier than finding the old cable in my shed :P
  7. Come on guy's, I know there's a lot more old Rolla's on here that aren't in the database!
  8. Sorry guys, I've been busy tiling my floors and doing other jobs around the house. Haven't had a chance to play cars for a while :( Did anyone get pics??
  9. You sir are a genius... :lolcry:
  10. Would have been Tosco back then not TRD ;)
  11. Looking sooo tough!
  12. Well I think we're all done :( What a season!
  13. Well this is no fun on my own  Any cats fans?? ...who would admit to that anyway? :P
  14. :POSTPICS!: Is this car from another member?
  15. We're coming back! :hmm:
  16. I'm sure I know which freight company... they were stuffing up several jobs a week for me at one stage, I try not to use then now :( One urgent parcel was 2 weeks late and had visited 4 countries (was lost in 2 of them) :bash: Though I must say AAE got me in trouble this arvo, were picking up an urgent parcel and they didn't say what they were collecting and where it was going so they were sent away... now have to pay for next flight :bash:
  17. Love lord of the rings, the hobbit. Read the silmaril (spelling?) Also good. Love the narnia books. Love everything by john marsden and everything by Tim winton. Enjoyed my first 4 clive cussler books than got bored of them. The sookie stackhouse and harper connerly series are fantastic... But the books I look forward to reading more than any others, the sculduggery pleasant series. Derek landy is hilarious! I also have a heap of the old "billabong" series, Mary Grant Bruce was one of our best Aussie authors. ... I'll stop there
  18. Thanks, I actually have access to a qualified laminater (fiberglasser)... my bro, so I should be all right. The cracks in my dash aren't too bad so I might start with the body filler method then make a mould off her... still not sure if the dash is the right one for my car (there are apparently 3 different sizes for KE1X's).
  19. Nice. I have thought about doing this... now I'm not sure if I follow Tommy's dads method with the body filler or this. I think this would be a more longterm solution. :hmm:
  20. Let me know when you're having another run, I'll tag along in the old Aurion
  21. I have a shed... and 3 more cars than I can fit in said shed. If it wasn't for my lovely, sensible wife I'd need a bigger block by now!
  22. I think your prices are a little optimistic... but I hope it's gone up that much :)
  23. Nooo that's painful when it happens :(
  24. Thanks. That all sounds doable.. I might try the body filler then drop it off to my trimmer to do the vinyl. :)
  25. I would say mainly because they are older and possibly rarer. Still a tidy KE11 is always good to see ;)
