Just found this thread. Was Mickey user name Androo by any chance (the one that started the what grinds my gears thread)? He took me for $250 before he bailed.

Shannons are very generous... they let me over insure every car I have (prices are still great and worked out very well when I had a claim). I would like to think I could get $8000 for my 67 KE10 when it is finished (will be ~$30k spent) but realistically I would expect it to be very hard to find someone willing to pay that.

ke11restorer I remember the car you are talking about. Had the same speakers in the foot well and lights from memory. They were asking $15k from memory... Your price sounds a little high but if you are in no hurry to sell...

Hi guys, I'm about to get my new front fence and the front of my house rendered and was wondering if anyone on here works for a rendering mob or can recommend someone. I'm looking to get the fancy Acrylic texture stuff that has the colour mixed in the render as apposed to painting over render. Also, I'm not after cheap, I'm after the best... at a good price :)

I slouched on prep for my engine bay... now have to do it all again :( If the car is going to be a shower take your time and clean up any loose stuff. Treat it like you would the outside of the car. A few people on here have done amazing work smoothing out strut towers and the like with that metal putty stuff (??) Another thing we did with mine was to use a thick filler primer to smooth out any small imperfections (which worked great, I just didn't spend the time sanding back any runs in it).

Welcome Jay & David, I've been away on holidays for a while, hence the late reply :P I'll be getting my 83 Rona back soon so would love to see a cruise happening at the end of the month (still a long way from finishing the Rolla).

It's strange that you say that we have more parts in Australia. Well we might have more parts but I found some of the harder to get parts in the US (all my badges). Also, we have a couple suppliers on here (A FC3S and KE10Baby) out of Malaysia with genuine NOS Toyota parts. Ebay is your friend!! I found lots of parts on Ebay, takes some waiting but they do come up. I have a grill that is in OK condition but you should be able to find better in the US. All the Chrome parts should be repairable at a bumper/ chrome plate shop? Keep us posted, would love to hear that this gets fixed!
