  1. yay! super pumped for this. after a week interstate with no car i'm desperate for a cruise. i've got some christmas presents fitted to the car, new steering wheel and half moon covers for the koito's i'll be down rain or shine. looking forward to seeing kangaroosa's car if you decide to make it down.
  2. my friends dad had two renault scimitars and put the rego sticker on the quarter windows because he could only afford one rego a year so he swapped the plates and window onto which one he wanted to drive.
  3. i will be down if i don't break my car any time soon. will bring mr.matt and his ke70.
  4. what a great night. i was pleased to see some faces that i hadn't seen in a while and meet some new ones. i'd like to thank tate and jarrad for doing all the organizing/motivating and dave for letting all of us have a poke around your shed/factory/place of awesomeness. a very big merry christmas goes out to all of the vic RC members, those who where there and those that couldn't make it. i look forward to many great events in 2010. i'm just annoyed i can't go on the GOR trip. :) just remember to drive safe on your holidays and just keep rollin' along.
  5. this happened to me. the guy i got to do my roady got lazy and just used the eng no off the old rego stocker even though i told him it was a new block. so now i'm going to get custom plates put on it and i need to go through all my receipts to find the one for the engine and take the car to be inspected for the correct number ect. it's not a hard thing to do but it's a whole lot of messing around that i wouldn't need to do if it was done right the first time. the best thing to do it ring up vic roads and ask them what you will need to do to change the number.
  6. wow, the crown looks great in these shots. want to swap? hehe i never even knew that there where any Tiara's in australia, i had just assumed they where all in japan. did they have the ute on display?
  7. that thing looks hilarious and it's named like a really bad porno. "deliboy, and the adventure of the disappearing sausage" what more do i want in a van?
  8. i'll be there in my rolla. still got to get some rc stickers tho.
  9. haha wooh! now all i have to do is find $6. :y:
  10. bahahahahahahahahahahaha, i've got to find who makes these. pure gold.
  11. wow, this is almost as exciting as finding a toyota AA! i love all these weird one off and special cars that not many people know about. i've always wanted a car with a good story, looks like i've missed out on another. good luck with the automotive super sleuthing.
  12. thats my favorite kind of death.
  13. i did notice this. my question is why are they there?
  14. wooh! that's what i'm running and it hasn't let me down. it was sort of thrust upon my with mums old mac and now i wouldn't use anything else. it also has that thing where it remembers all the tabs you had open. good feature.
  15. epic faceplam on my behalf. now kangaroosa has a week to sort out the kinks. haha :hmm:
  16. i'm loving this. the 2 door sedans are my favorite of the KE3X series. did this used to be orange at any point? i would love to see this in the flesh if you are coming to the christmas dinner tonight.
  17. true. om nom nom nom nom. :hmm:
  18. hey guys. haven't had anytime to check out these places. sorry. however i'm down for any place with a good parma.
  19. the brakes in my ke20 did this about a year ago, i had burst a seal in one of the rear brake cylinders. this is apparently a common fail point. it might just be beneficial to pull of your wheels and check for wetness around the drums/calipers.
  20. well this is the first i have heard. i'd love to come down and see a bunch of overrated ami toyotas. where, when and how do i get in?
  21. ok, i'm so bored that i decided to go for a drive. got to my car, no fuel. well the tinniest little bit. so i go for a drive just round my area. i manage to find 3 ke20's that i have never even seen before. a red one with venetians. a bamboo auto with no plates. and a light green(maybe the same colour as bernie's wag) one in a small carpark. are any of you glen iris guys on rollaclub?
  22. everywhere! :P also have a check of the chassis rail underneath the battery.
  23. ok, so after dan's post in the jnc thread on page 5 i'm almost convinced it's an AA. 80% of the car is borderline airflow. the clincher for me is the line that the rear of the front guard follows. the AA follows and almost straight 45° line where as the airflow's guard follows the profile of the wheel more. also the area at the base of the of the a pillar in front of the top hinge. is quite similar to the AA. lets hope toyota grabs it.
  24. i'll say i'm down for this, it is basically round the corner. might go have a suss of all the venues before casting my vote, i'll give my recommendation if you want.
  25. some of you may or may not have noticed this on some other forums but a man from russia claims to have the only toyota (toyopet) model AA. the very first model toyota made. http://www.japanesenostalgiccar.com/forum/...opic.php?t=7421 have a read. i found it quite interesting and i will be following intently as i love a good barn find.
