  1. looking good adam. the guy with the mercury wagon behind you lives literally around the corner from me. last i heard he had about 10 or so classic american cars. my favorite of which being a ford edsel two door in pink with the numberplate [DUD] :P for the suitcase, perhaps you can just put a lockable arm in (like the ones on card table legs) so you can have it stay open while you're listening to the music but still have it look like a regular suitcase when it's closed/not in use. just a thought.
  2. spotted a pea soup ke30 on burke road near corner wattletree rd at about 10 tonight. looked very much like Sonja's car but was missing the custom plates. just had original white on black plates.
  3. this car just keeps getting better. what are the mirrors off? TA22 GT? they look good.
  4. i've had my stock ke20 on a set of scales with everything in it (spare tyre, tools, melways, ect) and 1/2 a tank and it came out to 812kgs with 58/42 F/R balance and have the sheets to prove it. people don't believe me when i tell them it's only 800kgs.
  5. doh' :abuse: you can see it better in my picture anyway.
  6. that has no grill :D it does however have the 71 light surrounds. and would have had this mesh grill. from what i know, ke25s also had different grills to the 20s. on the left is a 71 ke25 and on the right is a 73(?) ke25.
  7. this is my front end. it's one of the others you may have seen. my car is a 72 AMI model. note flat bonnet leading edge and my indicators in the corner garnishes not the guard like the 73-74 cars. my car is a bit shabby but you get the idea. EDIT: i also just noticed mine has light surrounds that stasIII doesn't have.
  8. what? why? they always had the best prices and all the good parts. :blinks:
  9. get out of my thread.
  10. looking great. good to see you got it and yourself home in one piece. i'm guessing you got the car roady and rego in nsw, does that mean you can do a straight swap into vic reg or do you need another roadworthy?
  11. i'd be interested in a set same as toyocharged 13x7 4x110 pcd and either 0 or -4 offset.
  12. sure seems to go well... but my 4k does better skids. :rolls:
  13. 4 more valves? ;)
  14. i wouldn't say i know them, i just take more than a passing intrest in them. :bash: thanks for the links. the should come in handy later on. :bash:
  15. loving this adam. do you know what the bumpers with the over riders and nerf bars are from? from what i understand in 71 they had already gone to the later larger more square bumpers. do you know if the chrome window 'wether shields' (for lack of a better word) are made by a company or where made for this car by a previous owner? i want a good look over this when it's in town. :)
  16. not me. :P i hope this isn't a cube.
  17. noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)  i loved this car. it was so tidy. as dave said, this one was a special sold out of 'foley stewart toyota' in caringbah labeled the 2+2. these came from the dealer with 5 speeds, extractors, front lip and rear spoiler and this one has the center console for the manual that goes from the dash to the trans tunnel. this specific car was bought by an old couple (like all corollas :P ) back up in sidney and driven round the area. the current owner bought it from them in the late 90s early 2000s and drove it round the sydney area. in 2003 she was offered a job in melbourne so she drove the car all the way down the coast and it then lived in my local area until this happened. if anyone from here does buy it, it is a very tidy car apart form the damage. i'd buy it but i have no time/money for another project. :( (happy now? :P)
  18. damn it troy, you're going to get me into trouble. there is a guy round the corner from me with a squareback on carbs and he said he'd sell it to me cheap. i keep telling myself i don't need it then i come in here and you have another type3. aaaaahhhhhh! please stop building super cool type3's. it's not good for my willpower.
  19. there is an ae82 twincam out at pick a part kilsyth. they are popping up everywhere these days. when i got there it had it's gearknob and steering wheel, when i left it didn't. :jamie:
  20. i can't make it down. send my regards though.
  21. i dunno about you but those plates look very un-Australian to me.
  22. i'm going to agree. last time i was down at center road (a few weeks ago now) there was a full set sitting in the boot of a ke36 there. if your quick and lucky you might be able to grab them.
  23. haha, TE278U had one like this. :D it's now a cube.
  24. good work on the car. i'm in glen iris and i'm yet to see this one around. what did you do to the steering wheel? i liked the rainbow one. :P
  25. yeh, i was hoping it would look like that metallic blue and matte back one that was for sale(maybe still is?) but in green. EDIT: this one
