  1. from what Ive read he was a bit stiff.....
  2. Congrats on the result. Knowing how difficult those roads are, just finishing is a bonus. The number of cars I saw off the road (or didnt see, just saw the skidmarks and a hole in the trees) after the Cethana stage in 2003 was amazing.
  3. They would do something similar. Just tell them what you want from your engine eg. what rev range, use, carbs, exhaust etc. and they will recommend a grind for you. Be careful, if you say you want to produce power from 4000rpm, you will get it - as my ex found out, the lobes were almost square!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I posted the cam specs on this forum (or old corollas) a while ago.
  4. it was on a standard 3K.
  5. Hey I agree with you. There is a press release on the Targa site detailing the investigation CAMS is going to do. I think someone not at fault is going to be a scapegoat knowing CAMS.
  6. 2nd - very rarely get to use second. Just rev its nuts off in first, though I haven't clocked the tacho for a while, must be getting old :P
  7. scanned the pages, now I have to steal the missus's flash drive.
  8. Thanks Tiger :P can't give much advice - 2nd hand extractors, 2nd hand 2" exhaust (originally done by West Exhausts in Ballarat), 3" truck exhaust for a droopy tip. Sorry nothing more specific. Think it sounded better with our home made exhaust on it. The biggest bend was where it went around the firewall :)
  9. not necessarily Doug. Did that in my club car and it was fine in motorkhanas.
  10. Motorsport is dangerous, I agree, but my contacts are saying that there are a couple of court cases coming up due to this incident. Can't say anymore at this stage :P
  11. Agree St Nick. Club car has gone back to standard front bar and no rear bar.
  12. Wasnt I going to get you a list of ratios a while ago. Need to steal the missus's flash drive.
  13. Yor can unscrew the vacumm butterfly if you want. Don' t know what effect it would have........
  14. Welcome dude. Running a Wade 169 grind in my 5K. Good rev range (tiger can varify this :P )
  15. good on fast sweepers, crap on tight roundabouts. Would lift the inside wheel off the deck to easy.
  16. The secondaries have two butterflies, one opens with the throttle and one is controlled by engine vacumm (it is attatched to the weight thingy on the outside of the carb).
  17. don't think KE55 mounts line up with the holes in the KE3x rear subframe. Had to weld them on to the subframe when I fitted a KE55 diff into my old KE35.
  18. Club car used "all thread" through the floor with a couple of rubber bushes.
  19. unless you have a bent shock mount like I did so it would rip the eye off the shock in a couple of months....... Apart from that Monroe GT Gas were fine for me, so were an old set of pump up shocks from a HK Monaro (cheap arse adjustable height suspension :lmao: )
  20. Have a factory tacho dash in my 20. Its nice to have the tacho the same size as the speedo.
  21. If you can volunteer DO IT. Was a volunteer for the week in 2003 (deputy commander lunch stops) and loved every minute of it. Would do it again at the drop of a hat but can not get out of work. Targa wont move the event to fit in with the VIC school holidays :lmao: Good mates with the area south commander Paul Darko (went for a ride in one of the Commodores with him, that was scary) if you need help finding officials.
  22. welcome to Rollaclub Paul. Nice looking 70.
  23. You can bolt KE30 discs to KE20 hubs and you can run KE70 discs on a KE30 so I can not see why you couldn't run KE70 discs on KE20 hubs (not that I have done it).
  24. Sorry Rolla, its a VY2 Berlina so it has different headlights (and tail lights) to the rest of the VY range, which are either the same as the VZ ones or very similar. VZ's don't have the chrome grill either.
  25. I agree, had the plug leads replaced at under 20000km it became undriveable.
