  1. If you are going to use the stocker carb you will have to make up some sort of enclosure so the outside of the carb sees the same boost pressure as the inside otherwise funny things will happen. You may be better to try and track down a specific blow through carby and adapt that to fit. Think a Charade turbo had one. Hope this makes sense as its too early for me to think, the secoond coffee hasn't kicked in yet..........
  2. looked at this years ago and thought it was too hard.
  3. can't you just swap the mounting flanges over?????????
  4. why be neat and tidy if its stuffed, start rippin chunks out. You know you want to :hmm:
  5. old man used to run a 50:50 mix in his Kingy behind a V8 and did a shit load of towing with it. No issues at all and using it meant that you could actually get second gear.
  6. auto trans fluid for the win :D
  7. could go 8000rpm on the stock springs :D Running aa Wade 169 grind I also had no issues with lifters or rocker posts.

  11. Not any more :D got sold with the rolla. Spanners still has his though Red
  12. Tried "Wheels" in Howitt St????????? Or Tuesdays "Courier".
  13. Cheap and nasty, swap number 2 & 3 plug leads, hold foot flat and turn the key. The back firing usually cleans any shit out of the carby. Just remember to remove your aircleaner as it might catch on fire........... If this doesn't fix it do the above.
  14. before the mods yell at you, search around a bit. This was covered about a week ago and also is in the FAQ's
  15. check your radiator for water. If its empty you may have cooked it when you ran it without oil.
  16. or early rx7
  17. felix beat me to it. Look for a wire unplugged from the carby.
  18. used to get 400 of so ks from my twin carbed 5k (approx 35mpg for those who speak gods language). The stocker 3k before that would only get the same milage too. Would be a lot less if I got up it though - seen half a tank disappear during a motorkhana.
  19. be careful fitting extra retur springs as it will make the htrottle hard to mobulate if it is too stiff. I know this cause I had to run two on each carby to satisfy the scruitineers. To strong on the springs and you will have probs moving the pedal.
  20. Had a 3k-b set up that did the same. We had cut and shut the carby linkages so the early twin links would fit later model carbies. Found out that a bit of weld spatter would stick open the carbies at anything over two thirds throttle. Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. 5k's are tough - handled a 8000rpm+ buzz with no issues. Probally doesn't help you though.
  21. There is (or used to be one) owned by a guy from the Toyota Car Club in Werribee.
  22. You just used gasket goo :( to repair the head gasket!!!!!!! If you didn't use a head gasket, get one and redo it quick. If you did, you shouldn't need any goo at all.
  23. ......and a shit load of gasket goo under the head....
  24. Probally a different problem, but some nufty over tightened the bolts holding the seat back and pulled them through the metal. Needed to put big ass washers on the bolts.
  25. I'm a bit old school -used to user BP Corse Plus in the road rolla. The club car got what erver shit I cvould get cheap. Usually diesel oil as I got it for nothin
