  1. http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/12720-mytoy-ke20/ if you scroll down you will see the mods that I done to my rear leaves.
  2. Throw it away and fit up an electric pump ;)
  3. Yep later Corolla front brakes will fit, but there are a couple of minor issues to overcome. From memory, you need the dustcover/caliper mount, disc and caliper from the donor car. The later models dustcover/caliper mount are help on with 10mm bolts instead of the Ke20 8mm bolts. You can either drill and tap to 10mm or use the 8mm bolts and make sure they are super tight. Also, we ran KE20 inner bearings and later outer bearings or vice versa - too many beers to remember stuff like that :) For the rear, you can swap the whole axle from a later Corolla into the KE20 housing if you machine a bit off the end of the axle.
  4. The '20 with the RX7 alloys brings back so many memories :) Just the wrong colour and sitting a tad to high ;)
  5. Talk to the guy doing the machining. Let them work it out. If they stuff it up then its their problem.
  6. That was spinning around in the back of my mind but having never done the conversion to solids I kept quiet.
  7. A couple of other Celica touring cars
  8. Is it bad I remember this car (or the original one if this is a replica) racing back in the day....
  9. Just like to have the dosh for a Rolla...:(
  10. When I ran at the saleyards, many moons ago, it was really slippery. Grabbed the handbrake for the first time and looped it :paperbag: Learnt to be really careful after that. The only motorkhana I have ever hit third gear on. The other competitors were not happy with me when a shit load of dried mud fell off the bottom of my car just before the finish garage. Think I placed outright that day, but never confirmed it.
  11. I tried, square pistons don't work to well :(
  12. more impressive if it was in a lego KE20 ;)
  13. An uncle lifted and moved a K motor by himself across the shed. Was a power lifter though...
  14. Yep, 5k out 3k back in. Fitted a $100 5k and after firing up, it developed a big end noise. Debated leaving it in and crossing fingers as I had an event the next day, but ended up pulling the 5k and throwing the 3k back in the hole. No hoist involved, just a block and tackle in the old mans shed.
  15. 1.5 hours. We managed a complete engine change in 2 or so hours back in the day. That was drive in drive out :)
