  1. Damn - prices have gone up......... Accident repair, change of color respray with multi colored pearl cost me a slab back in the day
  2. Can alter camber by redrilling the lower control arm mounts in the cross member. Can move them out and up to gain nearly 1.5 degrees (from memory). pics here http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic/12720-mytoy-ke20/page__p__173678__hl__+mytoy#entry173678
  3. If it is for a KE2?, wood grain dash inserts existed from the factory. Had a complete set up for my KE20 that includes the gauge panel, the heater control panel, the glove box and the end pieces of the dash. Unfortunately the old man threw it out :(
  4. I,d be looking at early Ke30. Had similar on my '75 KE35. Pain in the arse to find wheels to clear the caliper.
  5. Used the top seat belt mount to mount one side my harness when I was running my ke20. Figured it was engineered for seat belt loads and already had a captive nut. Scrutineers still made me remove the captive nut and run a load spreading plate anyway...... Already had plated the mount for the other harness strap.
  6. Tried gently tapping the top of the carbie. Not something stupid like the needle and seat sticking open in the carbie.
  7. Wont be able to have a look at my "local" round - bloody kids sport :( Is it being run at the sale yards????
  8. Back in the day (around 20 years ago), I was running 225/60R13's on the rear of my KE35 without touching the bodywork. These were mounted on a 6" rim. Handling was fine ;) But you would never get anything close to this width under the front and make it work.....
  9. Played around with one of these years ago. Like you we had no idea how to hook up the vac advance so we grabbed the timing light and played. Turned out hooking both diaphrams up to the carby through a T piece gave the most advance, so we went that way.
  10. Earths ok?? Stupid question time - have you checked the globes? Get people in at work complaining that their lights aren't working and both headlight globes will be blown.....
  11. Been there done that. Thanks Toyota :) Do yourself a favour and watch it!!!!!
  12. Well, Luke has had a lot of practice...... :P
  13. Dunno, ran a hydraulic cam based on a Wade 169 grind. Would easily run past 7500 rpm to the point of running off the end of the factory tachometer, all without having to reset valve clearances. Don't know how many revs you would want to pull in a street engine..... An all out competition motor, I guess the effort would be worth it - maybe.
  14. Why anyone converts to solids....................... A heap of stuffing around for little or no gain, and extra maintenance :(
  15. Nice clean looking ke25 parked out the front of the local VicRoads in Marborough. Hopefully another beauty on the roads soon :)
  16. Ever heard of reset springs???? My ke35 sat around 15mm off the bump stops without using blocks. I actually needed to cut the bump stops in half to give some suspension travel. A spring manufacturer can make a spring to whatever spec you want
  17. question is why? Is there going to be a benefit with lap times/handling that can not be achieved with the standard set up that will offset the engineering issues involved for this to be done properly........ A lot of cars have competed successfully over the years running leaf springs...... Talk to some historic racers about tricks to make leaf springs work better.
  18. Run a spanner over the Carby and manifold bolts to make sure they are tight. Check vacuum hoses for splits.
  19. keep pluggin away and you will get there. Give it a couple of seasons and you will be clipping the cones and not disturbing them ;)
  20. I want to know his engineer if that is legal with the big block....
  21. Made that call 18 months ago, never looked back :)
  22. Well done, always good to get home and not have to fix anything. Plum crazy looks a lot different when you are not looking out of the side window :) Did I see a touch of oversteer there?????
  23. Thought of doubling up the front sway bar. Did it to a ke35 and it certainly stopped the car rolling.
