  1. we've got to buy NZ sheep cos all the Australian ones are ugly, why do you think we rally, we're chasing all the cute ones.
  2. check the oil level in your gear box, sounds like lack of oil.
  3. well it's on tomorrow, the start is 12.30 from the benarkin school.(should be sign posted) This is the first round of the Queensland Rally Championship and we're the only corolla in the whole field. if you come up,come over and make yourselfs known as i've only met a few of you before. hope to see a few rollaclub members there.
  4. PM me on sunday and i'll send you the address. thanks for that. what do i owe you?
  5. Mr Revhead Posted on Apr 9 2005, 03:57 PM i thought of the 7k, they use the g series box yip your right but toyota on a lot of there engines use the same patten on the bell housing to gearbox. i have a manual box at work i'll try it out and let you know.
  6. na, you don't have to stand it upright, the bell housing does take the engine angle into account.
  7. what's long and hard and f@$ks australians? primary school
  8. what about a late townace(sbv) with a 7k in it? wonder what bell housing that's got on it? i'll check that out!! by the way we have a K- T bell housing, and they don't change the rotation of the gearbox, most of the bell housings were hyd clutch but a few are cable, we have a cable one. if anyone would like a photo just PM me.
  9. hope this helps, sorry about the quality 5k spec's
  10. very interesting, but some of the owners manuals do say give wide open thottle while running the engine in,now wide open throttle isn't reving the shit out of the engine, they also say don't labour the engine. i think he's right, but i don't think the idea is new, i'd be interested to here other mechanic's or engine builders ideas.
  11. yip they came out with a/c, the second pulley should bolt on to the first pulley, but there are one peice one's around also.
  12. i'm with this man all the way, F**K V8 super cars and bring back more manufacturer's, after all there's more than holden and ford sold in AUS. total agreement about cars that look nice(not over done)and has money spent on the right things, the problem with skyline's, is there now in the reach of the average F**KWIT. like the guys who think the local side street is a drag strip or racing circuit. come and spend a friday night in bray park you'll know what i mean.
  13. yeah i better be careful or i'll end up with a swollen crotch. sorry mel :D
  14. yeah i have no life, sob all i do is work on rally cars and play on computers.
  15. we have a TRD lsd and ratio now (5.1) but thats only for ke70, if we find an AE86 diff then we're going to put a 4.77 ratio in it, was looking to get it out of japan second hand but you could be the man. let you know if i find a kangaroo that doesn't bounce.
  16. yeah it's more like god f@$ken help us :D
  17. i happen to like skylines, there a fantastic car, well engineered, quite, smooth and above all THEY WON BATHURST. which most ford and holden owers hate. i love my toyota's but i would own a skyline(r34)
  18. :D yeah i could see mel doing that.
  19. i was thinking the axles, there all 4 stud but can't remember the spline size.
  20. if he's talking about the pic, the f@$ken intercooler gives it away. you notice that as well
  21. i haven't heard that one, but it'll be interesting to see if it happens. from what i understand from jan 2007 there's going to no duty on imported cars, from jan the 1st this year the duty dropped(not sure by how much) on imported cars. we paid over 50% on the rally car and MR2 when they came in. it was worth it though. just remenber, about 6 years ago passing a late jap ke70 coming back from the gold coast, anyone knows who owns it??
  22. if i was Datagirl i wouldn't do that again, tony will get the wrong idea and stop in the stage thinking there's a chance of scoring a f**k. :D
  23. correct me if i'm wrong but you might beable to use tarago, townace or something along those lines. what do ya think guys??
  24. only the 6 cylinder turbo celica had it and Aus never got that model. Alljap haven't got any, i've tried a couple of places down the coast but nothing, no problem i'll keep looking. all the t series here have the small axle bearing, where the (twin cam only) sprinter diff is twice the size in the axle bearing. i think there's a tarago with the same bearing but the axle is different and housing is wrong as well.
  25. i agree, power doesn't seem to be to much of a problem, it's detenation that concerns us, saying that you can feel the difference between the 2.
