  1. Rear commodore wagon shocks are a much more sensible length.
  2. Please don't be a noob and post - "Seen it" or "Old". Because you should have posted it up here for me to see!
  3. Don't ruin it by reading any comments, just download and let your jaw drop. For those of you with no powerpoint here's the viewer. Powerpoint viewer Sorry, I had to zip it to allow upload to rollaclub Winzip The_Barn.zip
  4. Let's hope the diff graveyard doesn't have to grow anymore, there can't be many plots left. What brand of caliper do RT142's run? If there's nothing that bolts up, I'd be looking at getting some XT130 struts and going the peug hilux option. Either that or I might be able to have a custom RX7 braket made up when I get some AE86 ones duplicated.
  5. Yep, I reakon you'd probably get away with one cam gear, but an adjustable one on the inlet would help fine tune where your power comes on.
  6. Its a hard one to tell whether it'd help your bottom end torque or not. I'd wire up the TVIS solenoid through a flick switch and see what happens when you have a passenger flicking it at various different RPM's before abandoning it. If its good then you'll need to get a controller for it.
  7. Yep, you could always go a mixed duration set, some people get some really good results. I reakon maybe a 264 on the inlet to keep your VVT and a little bit of bottom end power, and a 288 on the exhaust side for shits and giggles.
  8. I'm not angry, I'm pissed :D And hate having shit in a thread that has no point! FFS, now I'm as bad as you, look at this mess that's wasting valuable rollaclub bytes.
  9. The only thing pointless was your post. If you're not interested, or don't have some pillars of wisdom for me, go and post like a noob to someone who gives a f@$k.
  10. Payed for some ebay 4-2-1 headers the other day. Cheaper than anything in Australia and stainless! Really keen to see how the 4-2-1's go, haven't seen many bigports with them. Lets hope they welded the sucker properly.
  11. That jaycar kit looks alright, hey, can it handle a reluctance input I wonder. Stupid megaspark can't, but I like the 3D tuning map = manifold pressure x rpm x advance for the tune or TPS x rpm x advance.
  12. Its probably a good thing having a 7A bottom end fed by carbs that run out of puff at 7K. I'll build you a megaspark if you're keen to get some advance going one day too.
  13. If you really want to go nuts with a 7A get some smallport / gze rods, get the crank offset reground to match the bigends and increase stroke, and get some custom pistons. Alternatively, you can use standard pistons and custom length rods. 1.9 L 7AGE stroker :locked: If you're really keen get the crank turned down the bigport 40mm bigends and go 2L :D Its not the best for forced induction, but atmo, keep it under 7K and it'd go for ages.
  14. Check the impedance of your injectors, if they're high ohm 13 + they're hardly going to open because the bigport is designed for 3 ohm injectors. The ecu or an external resister pack drops the voltage on the bigport 4AGES, rather than running high impedance injectors.
  15. Completed the wiring today, I had 2 hacked looms that resembled a bowl of spaghetti and they combined perfectly to make a harness for the bigport after and hour of unraveling. A 3SFE camry power plug is identical to a bigport for anyone missing theirs in there loom. It's cheaper to complete the standard ecu setup than paying to tune the adaptronic, so it'll be on the shelf till some cam's or a turbo lands on the motor ;)
  16. Fywheel and used clutch showed up today, hopefully the clutch in the AE71 looks better. To finish it, all thats missing is - -extractors and exhaust -spigot bearing -motivation
  17. Best part is T50's have the same shifter as a KE70 K50, not really hard to find.
  18. Looks great, but I hope you've got some long duration cams or planning on some methanol. Littleredspirits blacktop really loves the octane booster and 100ron fuel, and they run longer duration cams with a lower compression ratio. You may be able to run water or methanol injection to ease things, as the ignition only ecu should be able to trigger that sort of thing very easily. I hope you can get it running well.
  19. You'll probably find they've used a T housing from the narrower early Celica's. From rumours I've heard you need to shave the axels at the spline end to make it bolt together with an LSD carrier, unless its a CUSCO.
  20. Should have the flywheel and clutch next week if we're lucky. So then its all systems go.
  21. You don't want a rebuild kit, that'll supply too much crap you don't need from a 4AGE. There's not much to rebuilding a motor with pistons that have a similar bore and the same size gudgeon pin. If you've got too much of a gap above the pistons you'll need to get the block decked.
  22. I used to run AE86 Koni reds in the back of my KE55, no worries there.
  23. Nah we've got a 20V bottom end when it muches the standard one, 20V pistons should give it some nice compression too.
  24. I wonder how long till this ends up on its roof :D
  25. Guess what I found for you second hand. Matt and I picked up a bigport engine last night and the fella said his mate has twin s/d RWD manifold for sale. I'll let you know when he gets back to me, I'll forward you the details. :D
