the speedo cables go threw the same hole but the connections to the gearbox are different i think. The clutch cable goes threw a larger hole above the speedo next to the master cylinder. i think there a gromment there in auto ones. -
i also just put a old 3.8 out of a vr into my ke70 allot of custom work and the wirings a night mare make sure if ur using a motor from vr onwards u have the bcm or the car wont start or get the security removed from the memcal like i did in mine.

turboin a 4k is not really worth it 5k is better. don't put the 4k head on! The higher compresson is not good for turboing blow the head of with a bit of boost. I tryed turboin my 4k it was to much effort and not much gain so i just put a v6 in it lol
-
what do mean when u say boost pressure reference line, i s that a line so that the fuel bowl doesnt get the boost pressure directy into it, thats why u close up the standard bowl jets?
-
hey man go on ebay and buy a ke70 gregorys manual, there cheap as chips and tell u everythin theres a hole section there on how to set the float level and u don't need a float gauge thing.

at work if he have a wheel stuck on while its on the hoist we take all the wheel nuts off except one but leave it on very loose, then we get underneath the car hold on to somethin under the car and kick the back of wheel as hard as we can. the one nut stops the wheel from flying off. it shakes the hoist like crazy but cars less likly to fall off, i wouldnt do it on a jack or stand.

so if i get rising rate regulator i wont have to change the seat and needle what about when its on boost and is running the higher pressure will it be able to handle it i was going to get a vl external pump and use a regulator
-
iwas looking at that procomp regulator on ebay that reguator is good for runing low psi up to around 14 which is heaps for our carbys it should be good for ur application i was goin to buy it to use for my turbo 4k
-
hey in the process of turboing a 4k i running the stock carby which has be fitted with larger jets I'm getting a efi fuel pump and regulator soon but i was wondering will the needle and float be able to hold the pressure ill will be running around 6 to 8 psi of boost so that means around 8 to 10 psi for the fuel pressure are there any other carbys out there which i can scab a needle and float off that will fit and stand the pressure another question will i have to use a different spark plugs once its been turboed I'm using bp4ey at the moment and it runs really good with the added fuel and air will i have to change them thanks
-

hey my mate got me a carby and dizzy for nothin, he said there supposably from 4K but there different to the ones i have on my 4k first the dizzy is different it had a thing on the outside where u can adjust the timing advance or retard a screw also it is a long and skinny one not like my short and fat bosch one second the carby, it lookes similar to the one i have on my 4k but the throttle links are different also when i pulled it apart the secondary jet is on the floor of the float chamber thingy also there are two buttiflies in the secondary intake but one is not hooked up to anything theres just a weight on the outside of the carby. there also is many emission hose outlets coming from the carby which makes me thing its off a older motor i will try to get pics thanks

hey i welded up my ke70s diff its my paddockl basher, i just welded the spider gears together, i just cranked up the amps of my little arc and shuved heaps of rods into the diff. it doesnt take as much strain as if it was on tar but its been done for over half a year and nothins happened yet
-
it will do but you ill have to be care full with the other electronics like radio cause now its 24v instead of 12v, u should have really got a a bigger battery one with more plates also is your alternator charging?
-
mate I'm with littleredspirit who cares if you buy the one with the most power it might be full of rust or bog have mismatching panel and might have been owned by some rev head driver who has thrased the livin day lights out of it its easy to fix or change a motor but body work is way harder and everyone else can see it they can't see wats under your hood.
-
thanks guys don't think ill weld them up then OniBerserker I'm at penrith
-
hey my ke70 bounces around alot the stock suspension is crap i want to chop the springs but this might make it worse is there any think else i can do to stop it, its mainly at the front also its just my paddick bashers so don't hesitate to tell me to weld up my shockies or somethin thanks
-
ill get a new gasket from work and try that thanks
-
red positive black negitive signal wire (mines green) negitve side of ignition coil and the other i think is for the back light on the tacho just wire that onto the driving lights switch so when the lights turn on so does the tacho
-
its not worth it i don't want to have to buy another it would probably cost more than the car. anyway i can live with that problem like i said it just bugs me
-
hey my ke is alsome at the moment except for a little problem which bugs me. its running rough it wont idle at a one speed it keeps goin up and down. also when your driving and you put your foot down the car sort of stutters then takes off like it isnt getting enough air or fuel. my uncle says ive got a air leak or crap in the carby, i cleaned the carby blew it out and put a new gasket between the carby and manifold but it still doing it but not as bad. i think i might have a leak where the motor and the manifold join. this problem doesnt stop me from driving it as i just recently welded the diff up its mad goin sideways at 60k around the corner while its screaming a 5k
-
i welded it up i just took the back plate diff drained the oil and welded heaps of rods in the centre. its alsome welded up i should have done it earlier, 360s galore
