I did buy a new plug for it and put that in but it still did it, i got a lead but it doesn't fit my dizzy, so.. ill try get another one today :) But other then that ill get some fuel cleaner to try stop all the smoke, but wouldnt it be blowing smoke if its not tuned right? or the fuels running to rich?

Hey all, I recently got a 4AC in my KE70.. and the second cylinder from the front keeps stopping after driving it for about 2 hours.. if u take the spark plug out ( its black as ) clean it up.. put it back.. runs on 4 again and runs normal.. and also.. in my other rolla i have a locker.. and ive got one in this also.. and my other one made this real grinding noise.. it sounded like it was coming from the diff but someone said it could be the wheel bearings.. but anyhow i was messing around today and i was in the middle of no where... then it started to make the same noise as my other one.. but alot louder and its only in 3rd and 4th that u can hear it, were as in my other one you could hear it in any gear.

Ok, Had fluid.. took it to a mechanic today .. he said its the bearings in the box.. so.. he said it will be cheaper to get a new box and put in then to do bearings and maybe the Gears them self to. So.. I though since its a 4spd.. Could i get a 5spd box without having to replace diffs and shafts? Just swap the 4 spd with the 5 ? Ive been told from someone this will work on a Ke70.. But i hate only getting one opinion.. Thats why I'm going to another mechanic tomorrow :)

  6. Hey again all :P Seems i got anther problem with my Ke70 hehe.. It seems when i use reverse .. it sounds like I'm running cogs throw my car... ( its very loud while sideways ).This problem you can here in First as well. Would it be that my gearbox is low on Fluid? And if so how do i check it and fill it up? ( I know its not in the engine bay ) Ive put more diff oil in cause i thought it may be that as that was leaking fluid. But its not.. And The other question i have is... Whats a good carby for a 4k .. I'm planing on doing big things to this engine.. Well not nessaserarly this one.. But a Recon 4k.. Cam.. Port Polish.. Headers all that.. But first i wanna make sure i can get the fuel in there.. Is this a good thing to do first? A mate said a 3k Worked carby is good for 4ks. Is this correct? Thanks Russ.

Problem solverd :P Whent to the wreckers today.. and they didn't have any .. so went to another place they didn't either.. so i thought well fine.. so i went to AJPS and got a Adjustable one.. and my AU springs while I'm at it :D So now i just need some for the front and some new shocks for front and I'm good to go.. But since i got the rear springs and shocks done today its been so much better.. Now i gotta start working on this power issue we have ;)
  8. This might sound abit silly.. But can i use a panhard rod from other corollas? Like AE71s and KE55s or w.e?
  9. How hard are they to take out, is it just those 2 bolts and it comes off? And with the springs do you know witch model falcon it is? someone said AU.. but there like 98+
  10. Nah from Adelaide lol.. But if i go to like a self serve wreckers they would have them on the car still you reckon? Or would they all be cut with a oxy... I also gotta find some hard springs for the back.. apparntly EH or EA springs are really hard for KE70s.
  11. Lol yeah i will tomorrow, was just jacking it up like that to take some pics =D But wouldn't you think if someones changed the hole diff the panhard rod would of been changed? And he told me it was like that when he bought it and when he throw the other diffs in it never changed it.
  12. Hmm can you point it out? I'm not sure where the snap is cause i was just looking then.. But if i take the rod off will i be out to move the wheel over just to see what it looks like?

  16. Yes i understand what your saying.. I live out away from Civilization .. i do have abit of a play around on empty streets.. ( where housing deviliments hasn't even started. ) but the rest is for the track.. As i stated i have been just playing around and even some mates have driven it, That have drift cars.. and said its gonna be really hard to get that to slide.. i mean I think ill get this suspension worked out and go from there! thanks for all the help guys.
  17. Ok, well the next problem i have is.. wheres the panard rod =p Cause ill jack it up tomorrow and take it off... if i know what it looks like!
  18. But if it was the panard rod.. Wouldn't that be changed when a new diff is put in.. meaning that if hes put other diffs in and its still doing it.. it shouldn't be the diff?
  19. Swaped the front with the back.. and it still does it.
  20. Hey all.. Ive recently bought a KE70.. And it seems One tire is right in the guard.. and one is sticking just out of the guards.. There are some pics.. dunno how much help it is.. someone said to get a Adjustable panhard rod.. and that should fix it up..
  21. Lol naw i don't want a line locker.. I want to slide.. not do standstills.. If i wanted to do that i would just keep driving my FWD. :D Ok.. So I'm hearing I'm not driving it hard enuf.. Lol i take off drop the clutch.. and it just revs real hard.... annnddd then dies.. i mean around corners you come in handbrake.. dump it .. revs and dies.. and thats about 6-7 grand ;) ive tried alot of things.. i mean its great in the wet.. but in the dry its just bs lol. And yes it is standard Suspension i think the front springs have been cut.. But thats about it.. Thinking of getting some hardness in to that.. once i start getting paided again :locked:
  22. Hi, I'm new to this site =D Looks very informative. I just recently bought a KE70. Its done about 290,000kms. 4 speed. The problem i have is.. It doesn't want to do skidz yo! In the wet.. Its great.. But in the dry it just wont slide lol.. Its got a Locker and all.. But it just doesn't kick out no matter what.. I don't know the greatest amount about these cars.. But ive been getting suggestions from people about more power.. 4ac.. 4Age.. Etc.. But as i said i don't know a hole lot about putting them in, i know there is alot of guides out there.. But it seems like it just needs that little bit more to slide.. I was thinking.. If i got a second hand 4k with low kms.. Webber.. Extractors.. Strut bracer's.. Harder Suspension.. Better cam.. Heavy duty clutch? maybe 2" Cat back... Then i would of thought it would go nicely.. I mean this is just my thoughts.. Please do give advice! Thanks! ;)
