Yeah I seen the kit but then i was thinking if I'm spending one hundred why not spend $200 and just get a whole new carb if it fits and works. Is a 4afe double cam? I was thinking I might go a 4age silvertop eventually but since she only has 70k on the odo I wanted to use it as a run around first

Hey rolla guru's So I got an ae82 recently 86' with a 4ac motor 70k km on the odo and I can't get the thing to idle for more than a minute once it starts up. It hadn't been started for over 2 years I'm thinking it's probably the idle jet and I'm gonna pull the carb apart this weekend to give it a bash with carb cleaner. If that doesn't work tho I'm wondering if I can just whack a 4af carbie on to replace it as they are dead cheap on ebay. Anybody had any experience with this?

Just spotted Dark (blue I think) Rolla with gold wheel's turning into Epping plaza. And btw I'm the one getting around the Epping area in the beaten up Ke20 with the kidney mags and the front driver's Panel In Primer. It's my daily and like a hobby keeping it running :(. She has a 2t Single cam 1588cc Celica motor in her with 5 speed gearbox and sport's exhaust which is why she has a bit of a note :D. Nice fun car.

That makes things a bit easier thanks. BTW do all ke20's have cable clutch or just the early models?

ke20 stock motors have a cable or hydraulic clutch?. reason I'm asking is because i have a ke20 with a 2t celica motor and the clutch master cylinder is leaking want to know if the cluch is from the ke20 or the ta22. i bought it with the motor in it already so i don't know.
