  1. or a dodge idle spring on the carby or something else alike. could be alot of things
  2. i have pockets. think its just XX models
  3. been a long time since ive updated, since the car sat for so long to do the head i have had my master and slave for my clutch failing (leaking badly) and noticed today my brake master is also leaking sufficently. changed the clutch slave over put a seal kit through the clutch master and this weekend dependent on what i can get replacing or resealing the brake master. other than that the car has been pretty good, my cat has fallen apart inside also me thinks as it rattles pretty bad generally at idle or on start up.
  4. there is only one place in adelaide that I'm aware of that will do a properly heat sealed vinyl roof and they are not cheap! most are just stiched and moisture can still get through and cause damage. i know this because a guy at my work restoring a xb to orig spec got a new vinyl roof for it cost him around 1k. i think that the ke10 would look far better without a vinyl roof, but thats my opinion. colour choice looks good will be interesting to see it on a old girl.

  6. timing belt is a pain to do. lol cams don't sit at tdc like a tooth off each cam so was a bit of fiddling around but got it all perfect.

  14. nah corey organised the meet there and then he pulled out, think most people were from south anyway, drove past bunnings on our way but was already 11 by then lol.. great turnout for once a cruise that wasnt dominated by ke70's. few ke20's 30's 55's and an ae82 in the mix. was a good cruise once we all got back on track with the cruise route lolz, i took a camera but forgot to do the taking photos part.
  15. now to hope everyone remembered about daylight savings!!
  16. me and adash will be there, not in a rolla thou.
  17. hope you had a good birthday ryan, hope to see you on the cruise if not once the dirty neesan is fixed i might make a trek down that way! i remember when i turned 19 like it was only yesterday haha jks!
  18. seems its the season for ca's to give out. mine seems to be due to dodge mechanics thou, pulled the head off and well i don't know if some mechanics know how to torque a head correctly or well if they ever did it at all, and also dropping heads on head gaskets isn't a great idea. but hopefully you will be able to get it back on the road soon, ive been without my car for a couple weeks and its all ready suckier than a whore!
  19. rough outline of what we do at work. prime, block with 180grit dry paper, dizzy with 400, if solid colour (white, red ect) super fine sanding pad edges hard to get places, if metallic wet rub with 800 and 1500 for blends. this is for 2 pac but never had an issue yet, just need to be sure to get all the scratches out. also for guide coat we use a purple dye guide coat as it is more even and easier to block with, sometimes use a black gun generally on bars and such when we just dizzy them. also i fail to see where 320 dry would be the same as 600 wet.. 320 is far courser than 600 and wet rubbing is less harsh than dry rubbing.
  20. will be there wid adash!
  21. we wet rub everything at work pretty much, hell we even used waterbased base coat, clearly its been working up untill now. i don't see why heat or whatever wont evaporate anywater left in the primer ect.
  22. lame. isnt it your birthday thou silleh! no bday cruise if u n lexxi don't come that only leaves jason right?
  23. sure they are, i used to do them alone, just get some cb's crankin or somethin! can someone confirm meet details, where and when exactly.
  24. if anyone wants a passenger i could come..
  25. if you say so... my silvia is currently headless as apparently when fiting head its ok to drop on HG and then to not retorque the head and well then i have the car for a few months and everything turns to shit! (i had nothing to do with any of the head neglect) and i only have a CA18DE... turbo versions apparently disagree with HG's altogether. SR is a far stronger motor. id go with a mild 4agze.
