no mick i bought the sidchrome cos the cheap $30 socket set i got somehow failed ;)

just for everyone. you NEED to use plastic prime on anything plastic, 2pac primer may seem like it will stick but it wont. even if u prime with plastic primer then use 2pak primer thats fine, but on raw plastic you need to use plastic primer, its designed for that purpose. with guide coat, you basically have repaired it already, so bogged up pinholes and whatnot, then primed, guide coat, which ever you choose to use, i use different types depending on what purpose and part of the car it is (on a repaired panel,on a car thats not masket, i would use dye - on a panel off the car or a fully primed bumper i would use the black paint, and after plastic priming something i generally use carbon, which is also used after blocking a repair panel to remove blocking scratches, very crucial. and for anyone who doesnt know, for 2pack in a solid colour as in white or red with no metalics you are fine to finish the panel off ready to paint in a 400 grit paper, but for anything metalic must be finished off in a 800 wet rub.

so i spent a little bit of time pulling the front end apart, also removed most of the body kit, and the plastic chrome stuff in the windshield rubber, but have worked a lot of overtime lately and also had a couple things i needed to fix on the new girl. here are pictures, not one for words atm. except f@$k i hate rust and dodgy repairs! and finally, the new girl in the family. i just bought a sidchrome socket set, made pulling most of the front end down so much easier, decided i needed to invest in some decent tools when i managed to split a socket bit when trying to undo a guard bolt. lol. wont be doing the aircon anytime soon I'm sure but thanks for the tips!

hmm annoying, the gas it has is the original stuff that they can't use anymore. doesnt leak out the hoses like the new stuff.

hmm, so i have not started pulling her apart and whilst fiddling around the engine bay, i relised that i have aircon and it is apparently (according to the label) under high pressure and i shant tamper with it, so if this is so, how the hell am i meant to get it all out so as i can spray the bay? i have taken the grill out, done a couple bolts on the front bar, still tryin to work out a way to undo the ceased chassis rail bolts instead of like 12 bolts on the bar itself, taken out the indicators, undone all but 1 or two bolts in the front guards, the damn bolts under the car are also ceased. obviously taken a piece of the kit off to work out they are ceased, they actually broke my damn socket, i gues that shows me that my cheap shit sockets are just that!

i painted the passenger rear quarter, i bet its gna be the best bit :bash: also did one coat on the roof, needs another thou! EDIT: i did the boot too! and some of the silver around the taillights :y:

well the pulsar is gone, was meant to be picking up my new car today, but once again can't rely on anyone. so now i have no way of gettin to work tomorrow but o well. will work something out. will start to pull her down slowly but will be under a car cover till we move somewhere, that will hopefully, well better bloody have a decent carport or garage that i can shove her in to get the job done properly. paid for my 5k but wont bother picking it up yet, need to at least get an engine stand and will probably be easier to get it once we have moved. planned on painting it a sort of darkish grey/gunmetal colour. but seems that myles old 30 got painted a very similar colour as i had planned and not one to take others ideas so i don't really know anymore. prob still will paint it that sort of colour. also decided to take the centres also back to a silver/grey in my rims as the lighter colour makes them look larger, and always good when you only have 14's!

i got a pillar rubber for my coupe from rare spares, the originals screw in so as they don't slide down the window, the new one doesnt so constantly falls down, water still comes thru in the car wash (high pressure) which yes is sort of understandable but the original one i have just seems to be better and i paid $40 for a ft of rubber. seriously.

yes but most are of shit quality, for instance the fuel cap is shit from what i have heard people say.

satin black, looks good, he is chuckin a v8 in there, lol i said he shlda kept it yellow but the paint does look surprisingly good, for a can job anyway.

that looks mad, very similar colour to what i was aiming for my 55, with some kind of gunmetal grey. definitely looks top notch, way better than when myles had it! GREAT WORK!

the 5k is mine, too bad :dance: hehe, took the pulsar out tonite for a quick spin, got a decent go in her, has extractors thou, newish clutch and gearbox and a newish radiator. so for what i paid even if i hate it, was good value.
