  1. My initial thought was the fuel pump..... I'm replacing it anyway...... I have a walbro 550hp with a 2 ltr surge tank.... I'm going to install that just thought maybe there would be something else.... The fuel lines (on idle) are solid as, although i can't feel them at 7000 rpm,

  3. Hey Guys.. So i ave just finished a 4 month silvertop engine conversion.... i am having some issues. The engine has been completely re built... And it is in an AE82 Rolla CSX the twin cam 16 V came out of it. The 20V ECU is in it, as well as the 20V injectors. Now the Silvertop 20V is rated at (121 kW) at 7800 rpm mine will not rev past 7000 it seems like there is not enough fuel. Do i need to replace the 16 V Fuel Pump? Also the torque is supposed to have 162 N·m at 5200 rpm, The most of my torque seems to come in at 3900 RPM. It is really bothering me. Any thoughts at all...........

  5. Hey, I have just made the same conversion in the extended back version of your car. Awesome Huh, ATM it is at J-Racing in ACT and is getting the following: Port, Polished and Balanced Head. Valves Seated, Springs, shims and Buckets. TRD Headgasket Higher compression. It already has the following: 272 Deg cams. 550 Hp Fuel pump, new fuel lines. Twin Plated Clutch. We should meet up!
  6. Thanks heaps man,, It looks like my sparky has figured it all out. Apparently, the ignitor module was faulty, so we are just waiting for the new module.. Can't wait though, my car has been off the road now for 2 months. Can't wait to drive it though. I'll let you know how we go.. Cheers mate.

  9. Hey guys. Went to pick up my 82 rolla after the full re-build on Sat, big issue. The motor is a TRD Spec 20V Silvertop. Once started the car has a very irratic idle, i mean it bounces from 1k - 2.5k. Then when driven the car will accelerate normal untill 3500 rpm and the fuel will cut, and it sounds like it's at the end of the gear. My sparky is having a look through the ECU, and we will start troubleshooting soon. Any help or idea's will be awesome. Cheers.

  11. very nice man, highly respectable. I have just completed a rebuild myself, not to your extent, but i am building a track car. Mods incl 20v 4AGE VVT 272deg cams surge tank fuel pump clutch Brake's cold air intake Soon to come will be. Motec ECU coilovers full exhaust. Does make some power, but in a fwd AE82 Rolla, its not what i'm after, long gears and wide torque is what i'm looking for, and i have seemed to acheive it. I'll post some pics later. Cheers mate,

  13. Hey guys I am new to the forum and thought i would introduce myself. Name is Shane-0, and I am currently rebuilding an AE82. So far installing: Silvertop with VVT 272Deg cams with a larger lift 2 lt surge tank 550 hp bosch fuel pump heavy duty clutch cold air intake with the AFM sensor inputs. Its hauling some serious ass...... Next to come will be a restoration of the white paint, and a black leather interiour. Curious to meet all the talent on the forum, feel free to say g-day. Plus if anyone needs a hook up with paint, i'm your man. Got a lot of mate's in the industry. Cheers.
