  1. Geez are you ok? It looks like the drivers spot held up the best almost
  2. Nice turnout. Good to see some rolla's  Good idea for organising it
  3. Cars not great, but I reckon I will head down if I get the chance :lolcry:
  4. That would be great Luke! Fair generous! Be good if you went ahead with it
  5. Didn't even realise it was on! Thanks Philbey, just might head out there myself on Sunday :lolcry:
  6. Sooo been a bit money stricken unfortunately . . slows down the progress. All cooling seems to be fine now, gets up to temp and keeps it there nicely :no2: Took it into the wheel aligner. Got about 1.5 degrees of camber. Handles alot better Suggested I get better castor arms for more adjustment and longer LCA's as my bushes / balljoints are gone. So now I have rebuilt XT130 LCA's coming, strut brace soon, rear trailing arm bushes and looking into either custom or aftermarket castor arms. Should be interesting . . . Cheers Fusion
  7. My AE71 gets this aswell. Like eberbs said I was thinking is was coming from the steering column to. Going to get mine checked out on Monday so if I hear anything I will let you know
  8. Me rikey! Kamei front lip at all?
  9. Wait wait . . . you have insurance . . . yet you want to just make a "contract". So what was the point of your insurance? And how much do you want to spend on making the "contract" legal?
  10. A guy on AE86 I think had the twin Solex setup for this with factory air filter for a 2TB. Its what I had originally planned for this. Maybe see if you can find him. Cheers Fusion
  11. Any updates on how the little tacka's going Taz?
  12. Took me a while to actually figure out what was wrong. Did you take the photo? If so . . did they react at all?
  13. Good good . . . these at 7,000RPM with head work . . . . *drooools
  14. I demand that head get a port and polish :( Ooo it will sound nice than :P
  15. Have you taken a look in 'SA's Reccomended List' yet? :P
  16. Looks sooo much better in person :bash:
  17. Why not use a T Seires TA22 diff? Same width as the KE30 Borgie items. Probably need a little modifying to the housing for traling arms or leaf springs, but better width
  18. Waterpump and gasket replaced. Also replaced the pulley belt at the same time as it looked a little worn. Seems to be running fine now I reckon the last job was done quickly and dodgy. Loose bolts in the waterpump and left over gaskets :) Cheers Fusion
  19. Good to see he's going well :P
  20. Another set back . . . Waterpump gasket looks to be rooted and is leaking a fair bit of coolant. So its off the road. Luckily got a new one off Ebay and it should be express posted tomorrow. Hopefully all fixed by Wednesday. Also got to get new headlight and parker globes. So new tyres have to wait more now. Cheers Fusion
  21. Yeah go an see Raven. Been to his work place a couple of times and they have always come through with either the right part or a suitable replacement. :)
  22. I reckon you've got the right mind set starting on the suspension first. Whats your aim for the car? Just a daily, or go for a little track later on? You could start with KYB or Monroe shock absorbers for sporty / street or go to something like TRD / Bilstein for something a bit more track. Springs you could go for Lovells / King Springs, bit more cheaper or look at sponsors on AE86 driving club who do aftermarket springs that go better. Do you want to do brake upgrades, or keep the standard setup? Alot of stuff you easily do on the weekend time with suspension aslong as you have some basic knowledge. It all just depends on how far you want to take it. You could go for a simple setup to start of with than progress, or go for a street / track setup right from the start. I would say shock absorbers / springs would be your best starting point though. Could be wrong though :) Cheers Fusion

    Spotted

Spotted 13B's Merc today parked. Such a nice daily cruiser man :)
  24. Front: - AE71 Struts - Castor / Camber tops - KYB Shocks - 6KG front spring (about 2" lowered) - 24MM adjustable front swaybar - New castor arm bushes - Yokohama A drives (gripy) at around 40PSI Rear: - T18 diff - KYB shocks - 4.5kg springs (about 3" lowered) - No swaybar - Bridgestone Allrounders. Really need to get these changed as they are the main thing limiting me - Rooted panhad rod bushes. Also another factor that needs to be fixed Like I said, its good. Last night I checked my front tyres after the run and they were down around 4 - 5PSI. It was interesting the amount of difference I could feel in just pumping them back up to 40PSI
  25. Took it out for a good run tonight with the new suspension setup. Its good . . . but its still not right. Going to get either new panhad rod bushes or an adjustable new rod and get it all balanced and aligned properly than see how it feels. Cheers Fusion . . . Really should stop being slack and get some picutres :)
