  2. :yak: woo :y: bring on the keto rally cars!! mines only 4k powered tho. can't wait to see when she's finished mate
  3. howley snap 200psi :y: thats like 12 or 13:1?? like to hear this thing when its running :yak:
  4. don't have the time to wait it out.. first meeting is on 8th of feb. + i have 3 spares if it doesn't work out.
  5. yeah none of my local wreckers have t-18's or ae71's... hence why i want to make mine. mate has a corona wagon i just got some idea's off, so i think i've got it sorted
  6. only because spending 200 odd dollars on 2 pedals is stupid to me... and I'm able to do it, i just wanted to see what/how others had done it.
  7. hey, So i did a quick search and couldn't really find anything, my question is.. has anyone customised their standard ke70 pedal box to run the hydraulic clutch of the t-50?? I have a couple of idea's on how to do this, but does anyone have any pics of what they have done?? And how good it worked. Cheers Corey
  8. Hey mate, yeah i would go a 4k or possibly 5k as they are still a straight swap, ive got a 4k in my rally car thats done 280,xxx km's and still has 155psi in all 4 cylinders with extractors through to a 2" exhaust, and i had a 32/36 weber on it. And it keeps up with skylines at my local car club and has no trouble sliding on dry bitumen. with the help of a locker of course. So if its just your daily keep a warm k series engine in it as they still do go very hard. But if you have the money ($5,000-$10,000)for the sr20de+t go for it. i have a video of my 4k on bitumen but its VERY shit quality but ill chuck it up anyway.
  9. hey mate, i want those wheels :P, you could prob get from around $500-$1800 with the right buyer.
  10. yes ive tryed him as well as another guy but they refuse to post so.... oh well its on my list after my engine now :P
  11. there was no need to be an arse about it, I'm sorry i can't spell :P, thanks for all the info i was hoping i didnt have to do rings ;)
  12. pheww i hope thats what it is... chucking a set of those in anyway!! Cheers
  13. hey all, i have a next to standard 4k-c with extractors and 32/36! it has breaths so much oil out of the rocker cover breather.... My catch can ends up being half full after every race meeting? So i thought screwed pistons rings coursed this, so i did a compression test and it has 150-155 in all 4 cylinders!! What else courses blowby? cheers
  14. ^^^^ agreed... my cousin has a Ford BA falcon and his boot rattled like crazy, so he put "sitkaflex" around the bracing and all the rattles stopped... i think its the same stuff they put around the front window when installed??
  15. yeah you usually leave standard cable in, but from what i understand if you have a hydro handbrake, it makes your hydraulic system more vulnerable (spelling  ) aka stuffing up when driving!
  16. well theres my problem... "can't buy venturies" for 350  :jamie: , well that pretty much f#$%ed that idea haha thanks for help guys!!
  17. Yes so everyone ses... but i don't get how two 40mm webers on a 4k (500cfm) go so great so why exactly is a 350 too big??
  18. Edit: and yes you can use standard diff and no you don't need calipers! and theres tonnes of write ups.... Google is your best friend!
  19. hey mate got one in my ke70 khanacross car... the difference is instead of reafing on your cable operated handbrake, with a hydraulic handbrake you use it through your rear brakes, then use a master cylinder off the standard handbrake or make up your own separate handbrake which can be brought/fabricated. it then uses the fluid to lock your rear brakes not the cable. BUT!!!! is ILLEGAL for registered cars.
  20. hmmmm soo how does two 40mm webers equaling 500cfm idle so good?? and yes i realise il would have to modify the manifold  ,
  21. hey, one of my mates who owns a performance shop "littles perforance" said to me a Holley 350cfm would be ideal for a 1.3 jetted to suit of course. ive been thinking 40mm= 250 cfm so twin 40mm carbs on a 4k = 500 cfm.... so really its nothing compared. Just wondering what people have to say about the idea and if anyone has tryed it or know of someone trying it?? Cheers Corey
  22. i havnt actually bought one, but I'm always looking... silver tops go from $900 for just engine to $1700 for half cuts, black tops hardly come up but go from about $1200 to $2200
  23. argh F#$%$ oh well, ill just find a spirit wing, one day!! Cheers
  24. yeah pretty much, every spirit wing i find is out of victoria and they refuse to post so there's quit a few of these at my local wreckers, so if the fit ok i was guna hit one up!
  25. hey, just wondering if anyone had tryed putting an ae82 hatch (or what ever you want to call it) spoiler/wing onto a ke70? the one in the pic is the one I'm talking about! or if anyone has one lying around they could measure?? Cheers
