Hey, so ive got a ke70 thats powered by a briggs and stratton motor... the good ol 4k.
I'm looking for wayy more power but on a tight budget. Soooo i've been think about either an el or ef xr6 motor converted back to carby (830mm long) or the most common conversion... a v6 ecotec out of a v-series commonwhore (550mm long).
NOW before you go saying its going to be front heavy and will prob steer like a hat full of arseholes, its only a club car so it won't need the money thown into it to get registered. So i don't wanna hear any of that as ive already figured that out.
So what does everyone think??
Cheers Corey
Hey mate,
car looks to be coming along great.... MAKE sure your sump gasket is on properly at the back of the motor. Everytime i install one it seems to weep or piss oil out :P
hey,
if it was me i'd try another GOOD tyre fitter, tell them that the tyre isnt sealing and go from there, if it still leaks get the rim fixed. and if not the other place was just being a$$holes as some tyre fitters are (no offence)
Cheers
My 4k is a rally car so its kinda loud... abit too loud for road use for my liking but sounds pretty tuff.
I've got Pace maker 4-1 extractors to a high flow "AEM" muffler then to a decent size hot dog. All the piping is 2" and exits under the passenger door.
Cheers
honestly the only way to find out how loud it is, is to try it yourself. probably not the best thing welding it on to a half inch smaller diameter pipe... unless you get an adapter that goes rom 1.5" to 2".
Or if you have the spare $$$ put a new 2" system on it with some headers/extractors. Definetely made my 4k breath better.
Cheers
Hey,
Yes you can adjust the castor, just wind your castor rods all the way in.
But the standard rods only give like 4 degree's so no where near as much as the D1 guys! Unless you have access to a lathe or buy after market ones.
The castor rod is the one that goes from you lower control arm (LCA) to the front of the car.
Cheers
Yeah planning on goin nolathane bushes or what ever they're called haha, but damn they are mighty exspensive!! Currently un-employed and it isn't fun.
Yeah so i've been told by many people... They are bloody heavy, but go like a herd of turtles in a straight line!! :P
nah no 18rg for now... guy screwed with me!! aka price kept on creeping up.
But yeah 4x 32mm Mikuni's should go nicely :y:
EDIT: Carbs are actually 32mm not 40mm which is better suited to a near standard 4k
most likely yes. Unless your engine is majourly modded.
Idle jet should be fine and so should the secondary's main jet for that little extra punch :hmm: :jamie: . unless its going to be a road going car... re-jet the whole thing
lol haha, its really personal choice with seats.... do what the guy said above, go to the wreckers and car dealers and sit in every car till you find what you like :D
yeah mate has n12 turbo.. fine if you have a harness to hold you in but yeah. :)
I've got a "monza/autotechnica seat" thats reclineable... quiet comfy and supportive. :D
edit: also my sister has a 2006 focus and they are "buckety" and very comfortable
Hey,
Just pulled out the 4k for a new clutch and seals... now she's back in but there's a wire that i have NO idea where it goes, for the gearbox I'm guessing.
Ok it's a ke70 4 speed and it has the two wires for reverse that go into solenoid (or what ever that white thing is) then there's a blue wire that has a green connection onto the loom and from what i can tell its supposed to be attached to gearbox some where?? Can SOMEONE please tell me or have a look at their ke70 4 speed and see what wires they have connected?? :) :no2:
Thanks a heap
