  1. its really a personal comfort sometimes and the setup of course. they could of had gh sickma lca's and stock cut springs etc. ive got xt130's with stock inserts and xr6 pedders springs and i like the way my car handles! ae86 power steering arms are a must or just cut and shut if your handy with the welder. Cheers
  2. hmm, willing to travel up to bendigo?? Pretty sure theres 2 of these at one of my local wreckers. theres a beige windowless one there, and not 100% on the other one all i can remember is it's white. and also not 100% sure if they are ke36's but they are around that era!! Cheers
  3. what weber have you bought? 32/36 or something smaller? you will need an adapter plate to fit any weber.
  4. Or you could go majour hill billy spec... they used to get an arm fabricated out of rod with a hand on it, ant it had a hinge on it so you could lift it up when you needed to signal or put it down when you weren't LOL funny as, but yeah its a little green box either hidden up behind the dash or behind the right hand side kick panel.
  5. Hey man I'm also only 15 going on 16!! is there an engine hiding in there somewhere?? great score man... those rims polish up sick as to, just finished mine a coupla weeks ago.
  6. from what i have gathered the A series is 20 spline and T series is 22 spline or vica versa?? edit:input shaft that is
  7. so you want new rims?? or tyres?? your post is a little confusing... if you want RIMS go to your local tyre/rim shop and tell them what you want and they will show you/ tell you!! same with tyres Cheers
  8. i think you should swap me your rocker cover!! some twit "shaved" the original lettering and shit off mine and I'm not a fan of it, makes it looks too much like an sr20 lol. Have you ever tryed getting spark plug leads for the 2tg? I've tryed heaps of places and they say ohh yeah we can order them in, then 2 weeks later ohh our supplier has ran out of these years ago. thats happened 3 times so far :) , trying my 4th now. same with a freaking exhaust gasket! Cheers
  9. looks the goods!! who ever said girls can't mod cars!! best looking 55 on here :) is that exhasut setup "raspy"?? always loved those chrome tips
  10. agreed, just put my ae71 pedal box in my ke70 last weekend... have to pull cluster surrounds out, cluster all the steering column plastics and i had to drop the steering column to get mine out!! all up it took about 3 hours!! but yeah get an ae71 setup mate would save alot of time
  11. MATE USE THE F@#@ING SEARCH BUTTON!! And no there isn't, you buy a manifold from redline who make twin carb manifolds to suit k series and you buy 2 sidedraught or downdraught carbs to suit..... expect to pay up to $1000 to buy and set up
  12. STOP throwing up random threads buddy, i know your new and probably excitied about all the info on here but there is a search button at the top right of your screen and with your question what is the 5k or 3k head going on to?? And it's not so much horsepower, it either raises or downs the compression ratio. Cheers mate
  13. I had the same problem, fixed it by..... putting a 2tg in it LOL :P . Could be piston rings? valve guides/can't think of the name ARGH. or yeah fuel pump?? :hmm:
  14. te71 has a 3t-c right?? So you will already have an hydraulic cluth, Custom engine mounts and crossmember will need to be fabricated, most likely the same deal with the gearbox crossmember. Not to sure about the 22r gearbox but it could fit as its an R series engine. 18rgu, is it carbied or fuel injected?? they are a 2litre dohc 8 valve motor, fair bit of torque and fair amount of horsepower for what they are. Only thing i found bad about these motors are they are quite heavy, but thats the only bad thing i have heard. Apparently whoop a standard 4age in a striaght line.... but also remember a 4age will rev up to and over 8,000rpm. an 18rg will be getting ready to go bang at 7,500 tops!!!! Cheers
  15. I thought with the summernats etc you had to have a "road worthy" car?? Mate has a v8 powered ta22 and honestly it was done a bit roughly and they wouldnt accpet him. But that's only what i've heard, don't quote me.
  16. with alot of time, hardwork and some money anything can be done mate. I rekon it would look a lil bit out of wack with the ke3x or ke5x gauges in it tho.
  17. WOA, what happened there buddy?? :y: cops do that?? :D
  18. :D Yeaha get twin webers on her, polish the shitte outta them!!
  19. www.camtech.com and yeah just search around mate
  20. yeah mate you have to convert to hydro clutch if you went 2t/3t or 18r. 3tc is 1.8 and APPARENTLY with the right engine mounts its a bolt in job.
  21. yeah mate, they have a sleeve on the end of the nut so it actually goes inside the hole of your rim.
  22. why won't the mag wheel nuts work?? is the sleeve too big or too small?? can get them from autobahn for like 2.50 each.
  23. get a sensible cam re-grind profile, ie. not too much lift and duration for street use. then get your carby jetted by a mechanic/dyno tuned, or its just a trial and error process with jetting... if you do it yourself
  24. have you got mag wheel nuts?? or just the standard steel rim nuts?? or Get longer wheel studs if you already have mag wheel nuts.
  25. Couple of idea's *get a 32/36 weber jetted to the 4k- carby$free-$150, weber adapter plate-$50, jets $20, air cleaner-$depends what you want. *extractors-$50-$200 *2" or 2.5" NO BIGGER exhaust-$80ish if you have a mate, $150 for shop to do it *ae86 or corona xt130 front struts for bigger brakes and more variety for inserts. i.e adjustable, shorter stroke etc etc $depends on what you get with the package *suzuki sierra rear shocks with about 6kg springs-shocks$120, springs-$50-$300 *xt130 lower control arms for a little bit of negatice camber-$50-$200 *heavier/bigger swaybars-$500-$600 for front and rear *ae86 powersteering arms or if you have a welder cut your own. -ae86-$100-$250, cut and weld$free *cam, valve springs and rebuild the head.-cam regrind-$90-$200, valve springs-$100-ish *full service and check on the engine-$what ever it costs, it'l be worth it if you do it right Thats just some estimates on prices and just some general idea's that i would do. Cheers
