  1. don't go 2tg or 18rg, i've had a 2tg and just brought an 18rg. The 2tg looked good in theory when i brought it, but once it shit itself i was looking at big dollars for a rebuild. 18rg, i was lucky enough to get a car with one installed and all the parts were there, but everytime i walk into ANY parts stores they twist their heads and scracth their fanny as soon as i mention 18RG. My opinion, go 3tc IF you can't afford 4age. Cheap, reliable, good power can be made. But they still arent a 4age.
  2. I agree with Philbey on this one, for the amount of money/time spent on doing it. It's not going to be that great, don't get me wrong they're a great little motor and go alright, i just think money could be spent wiser elsewhere. My 2 cents.
  3. XT130 Corona, GH Sigma
  4. In my motorkhana car, I have a cig-locker, super heavy duty XD springs, VL commodore shockers, and standard sway bar. I get absolutely zero tramp. So if your not too worried about comfort, try some up-rated springs.
  5. Altezza is taking the words out of my mouth :laff: After the RWC clears and I get some more money together, a w50 and 18RG will be going in. Should be a pretty grunty first car. Cheers Oldfella, ill give that ago after I finish waxing it.
  6. Its pointing more towards a burnt valve I'm thinking, I adjusted the the tappets up to specs and it fixed the miss a little bit. But she still puffs away on idle.
  7. I just brought an auto 18rc powered ra40, and it has a wicked miss fire on idle but it clears up after about 1500rpm, it's something to do with cylinder 3 because when you pull the lead off number 3 nothing changes. But theres a nice blue spark, it has brand a new looking dizzy cap, I've tried different leads and a different spark plug... but the miss fire is still there. What on earth is going on? Its shitting me up the wall. Cheers Corey
  8. Could shorten a GSR Sigma boot lip to make it fit. Its about 10-15mm too long either side on a ke70. I have one for sale if your interested.
  9. Take the current centre out and ask someone to weld it for you, if your not a confident welder. Itd be alot easier then trying to buy one. Also if your intending to use it for a drift rig, don't try sliding it on bitchi until you have stiffer rear leafs and stiffer front springs or you'l just be king of understeer.
  10. ;) Thats some serious dish :blinks: Anyway to the question, maybe small welsch plugs? Theres also little red caps that you can buy off ebay and push into the holes, used on drag cars a fair bit. Ill try and find a link for you mate. Edit: can't find them on ebay, maybe even machine up some alloy plugs and polish them? fairly simple to do.
  11. Yeah they have a fair bit of dust and grime on them haha. Seen a few different random numbers and letters but nothing that made any sense to me, any particular reason why you want to know the brand mate?
  12. Seeing as though I'm such a nice fella, ill go for a stroll out to the shed and have a look :) Aaaaand i came back with nothing, mine don't even have 13x5.5 27 written on them.
  13. What he said!! It all depends on how you want the car to ride, steer and how many tyres you want to go through. I'm running chopped heavy duty falcoon springs up front, with xt130 LCA's and shortened steering arms and its almost perfect for what I use it for.... khanacross/Motorkhana/Autocross etc etc. Chopped springs do fail though, spend your money right, and do it once.
  14. What exactly are you asking? They would of came off a CS, CS-X, XX, or an optioned out ke70 Corolla. Or do you want to know the brand of rim?
  15. Do something with the sump though, add a few baffles  . Thats how I destroyed mine :jamie: , in the process of building the 3tg now... so something good came out of it lol. Goodluck with it mate. :bash:
  16. My mate has dealed with him a fair few times, been awesome everytime! Although his prices are starting to rise, but his still easily the cheapest around.
  17. I miss my 2tg so much! You'l love it!! The induction and never ending revs are awesome
  18. I highly doubt you will find any standard springs that will lower the car 2-3", if he doesnt want to chop springs the only real road to go down is kings or lovells etc. Get onto ae86dc, Theres nearly always at least a pair of lowered springs for sale.
  19. fairly sure its RA60 tie rods end mate.
  20. What he said, I'd reccomend xt130 Corona arms though as they give about 1.5-2.5 degrees depending how low your car is. GH Sigma's are a little over the top. 3-4 negative degrees, so unless its a full blown track car i'd personally stick to the Corona Lower Control Arms.
  21. If you go down the xt130 route, you will need the steering arms off one aswell. Ke70 steering arms will not work with the xt130 strut.
  22. ok, ill define my question. Will Hilux Calipers fit in a 13" rim with 258mm rotors? I don't have The calipers yet.
  23. Hey all, I'm looking at running 258mm rotors with hilux calipers on my ke70, would I be able to fit 13" wheels over this setup? Thanks in advance Corey
  24. Nice looking ride mate, big fan. Ever get any trouble from the Police because of the induction?
  25. ahahahah someone can't afford a skyline. Thats a pisser, i guess its different.
