thanks for the quick reply guys.... its nothing flash so id imagine a carby engine, but ive never looked under the bonnet. He is going to have a look for me.... he had been quoted $1500 for the engine.... i thought that was a bit steep considering for $1800 i got a 1.8l turbo half cut for the laser.... I'm in brisbane, but the car is on beerwah on the sunshine coast... any one know any wreckers or engines for sale in that area?

Hey guys, Ive heard about this site before.... I'm from fordlaser.com..... anyway, a mate of mine has a 89 corolla... i know very little about corollas. the engine in it died, and apparently its terminal. how hard is it to swap these engines....? ive done it a few times in the laser, so ive got a bit of experience doing this stuff.... also, what engine is in it, and how much should a replacement cost?
