  2. Hi Guys, State of Origin 2 is on tonight, id just like to say although I'm in the land of the big blue sea... GO THE MAROONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. 2 months ago I took a long drive up north 1 hour north west of newcastle. took 3 hours to get there in my sera, with the heater pumping of course. I got there, and there was ice covering my bonnet, after driving for 3 hours. I was mighty impressed. She always starts first go though. Now the heater on the charade doesn't work, which I might look into the thermostat thingo
  4. I actually take offence to that. You don't even live in Sydney, how would you know what goes down? Neither does Nick, so why does Sydney come into play? We all need to learn to like each other, no matter what state, or this site will go downhill for "city bashing". Sorry for going off topic, I am trying to defend my region as a Region Leader
  5. not exactly a scar, but from the bmw accident at powercruise last march my wrist has never been the same. I can use it normally, but on a cold day it locks up like arthritis, and since I can't change my own tyres or unbolt anything with it, putting pressure on it, it feels like its broken when its not. At the time it was fine the next day it was swollen 2 times its normal size. sucks cause i have to use my left arm to take the sump bolt off the sera (awkward spot) so i can't change my own oil anymore
  6. I can personally attest, nicks scar is a shocker...
  7. I have a scar on my right knee... when I was younger me, my dad, my aunty and uncle decided itd be a good idea to surf on boogie boards through this little river out to the ocean. the current was strong, and i thought it was too shallow. my uncle was like "nah ive done this heaps it rocks" so off we went... both me and my dad got dragged down a shallower path than my aunty and uncle. we were dragged over sharp barnicles and rocks.... Dad had to drive me and him to the nearest hospital (2 hours drive) for stitches he needed 20 odd of them and they gave me a choice a gaping wound or stitches i said wound cause i didnt want stitches they were scary. For about 2 years after that i had this gash deep in my knee and it was all scabby and stuff. was cool at the time (14 or so) but now i regret it cause i still have the scar :ninja:

  19. depending on the job your applying for, employers will realise ur using a template, so I recommend against it :)
  20. the page doesnt load, but I know what your talking about. Useful in the bush etc but I really think this is a european thing... somehow I don't think USA and AU will ever really come to terms with it... unless ur white trash :)
  21. well if I have the information I'm happy to share it, and i type fast so a lengthy post is no problemo :) Add me to msn whenever, if I'm "busy" I'm not there if I'm not busy then I'm floating around somewhere :)
  22. P.s I'm good at proof reading, add me to msn if you like :)
  23. easy peasy Mr Dan :) Its easier telling someone how to write it, rather than writing you rown, ive been meaning to do mine for a long time !!! Basically its simple layout: contact info/name/dob (if u wish), address, phone contacts. you start off with a paragraph on what type of job you are looking for... and be specific here. for instance "I am lokoing to use my communications skills to contribute positively to a position best suited to my skills and experience. I would like to be a positive team member... " blah blah u get the gist. Then u can write a paragraph about personal aims if you wish, such as buying a house, building your own business, gardening whatever LOL IF YOU WISH. Then you work on tertiary/school achiements, whichever is newer, work within the last 3 years, depending on your age. For instance, if your 30, something u did when u were 20 is pretty much irrelevant, unless youve been in the same job/industry and its relevant to the position you are applying for. Then go to work history, current/newest position first. Try to keep this also within the last 3 years. Employers don't want to sift through pages of crap :) Then u go through hobbies if you wish to list some of those, or extra work stuff. Like if you took a course at TAFE for an interest subject (mechanics) for instance? you could put that in hobbies. Don't put "tinkering with cars" trust me :) Then you can put referree's, its always best to include at least 3. Always put their relationship to you, previous employer, father, best friend etc. Best to keep them professional, or scholarily related. (if thats even a word) Also its really neat if you can get a written reference or two to put in with your application. This could be from a team mate at a current or previous job, someone you have worked with closely in the past, or a previous boss. It will give any prospective employer an idea of what you are like to work with. Before sending off your resume, re-read it once from your point of view. Then re-read it from an employers point of view, and try and suck up a bit to convince them that you are going to be loyal and a hard worker. and always include a covering letter/email :) explain what qualities YOU have would be useful to THEIR business :)
  24. bwuahahaha ill make u blush tonight mr :)
