Spotted beige ke20 at Bunnings Parafield the other night. Anyone from here?
  3. Hi. Yep, Autotrans is bringing it over. Should arrive Wednesday I think. Can't wait. Is there a minimum ride height for ke25s? I'm not sure if it'll fall into the "too old to care" category like the ke10 and others. :sob:
  4. Cheers. Thought I'd better reply in here instead of the other thread. Yeah, the 20v probably would've looked nice. Not sure what we'll do with the ke25 yet. Will be something special for sure but more of a long term project starting with wheels. lol
  5. Thought I'd better start a new topic instead of posting too many times in the KE2* Members thread. So here's the new rolla. I always wanted a te27 and will have one some day  but thought this might make a neat replica in the meantime. Genuine 50 something thousand miles on the clock. Have the books showing original delivery date and owner's details. Services at 1000 miles, 6000, 12,000, 30,000, etc. Funny to see the books and read the service dates- all long before I was born. Photos speak for themselves I spose.
  6. Yeah cheers for that. Not sure why they haven't taken that off. It left Queensland today. Should arrive in SA mid next week. OH MY GOSH!!
  7. That is one tidy unit!
  8. Cheers Dougy. Just had a look around and found the colour. It's called Maroon Metallic No: 348 ;)
  9. Thanks guys. Yeah, I suspected that they weren't the stock wheels but really wasn't sure. Have the stock hub caps in the boot though for a bit of memorabilia. Lol. Am going to grab some neat wheels when it arrives in SA. The car has had a closed door respray but it was a project car. Last owner intended to put a rotary in it and wasn't going to spare any expense, hence the paint job. It's as close as it gets to the original colour according to the boot and engine bay. ;) It has log books to 30,000 miles. So funny to see the dates on them and delivery date (1972) with first owners name, etc. Yep, I think I paid a heck of a lot for it but I just fell in love and after trying to buy one in SA for $4500 last week that was nowhere near as nice, I was happy to just fork out (the original asking price was $11,000- rofl!). It's as clean as and everytime I look at it I smile. Have to say though, now that it's mine, I'm scared to do what I intended to do to it. Bolt on flares, fender mirrors, conversion... But yes, it will be getting a manual gbox. ;)
  10. Oh sweet! Another 1971
  11. Name: Kimberley Car: 1971 Toyota Corolla KE25 Coupe Motor & Driveline: Oh boy, this is sad- 3k with Toyoglide 2 speed auto. lol Suspension & Brakes: Standard Wheels & Tyres: Stock hubs with Hancooks ;) Interior: Stock Tan in beautiful condition Body: Marron (gosh, is that how you spell it?) Other: 55,000 original miles. I'm now the 3rd owner ;)

Spotted MurderessKE55 today. Also spotted that orange KE25 on Tapleys Hill Road. Tried to buy it off the guy but he's a nob head and wouldn't take my offer. Wants $5500 firm. What a jerk. It's been sitting there with a blown head gasket for months now. Must be fair naffed and he still won't sell it. Arrrgh!
  13. I might tag along Raven... :bash:
  14. Hey Raven, I know what colour you're going for. Bwahahaha :( Don't worry, I'm good with secrets. :(
  15. It's not "my" cruise, just one that some guys are organising but yeah, more details about Jordan's would be good for sure...
  16. Will definitely be going to this. Have to get the 20 valve in. Ahh, so much work to do!
  17. Hey Jordan, I've just replied to the other thread about an upcoming cruise. It would be sweet if you could join the one being organised for the Sunday. Details here: Cruise
  18. Hey there, There's another group of corollas cruising on Sunday. Would it be possible to schedule both for the same day? More details here: Cruise I know quite a few guys from ae82ownersclub will be coming along. Maybe we could make it one big group. I wanna be at both but stuff copping the petrol bill for two days of hills runs! :lolcry: Two of my mates are bringing ksevs plus I know of 4 others that are coming so far with their rollas, oh yeah, and me in my currently rather sorry looking gt. Ha ha, I just reread the details for thread and realised we're talking a totally different month! So, both cruises sound sweet. I'll try to be at both and the Top Gear photography one in July. Yippee!!
  19. Jason's AE82 FXGT. Oh my, that is so fine! Have seen it and Al Palmer's TE27 up close and personal. Would love to have both. Must say though, Jason's 4 door is just as good. That man is a genius!
  20. Oh man, there was no getting away at all. The car was in such a mess! I lost all power on first impact. Basically took a corner, car stepped out in a huge way, I over corrected, as you do when you're looking at the guard rail. Hit the rock face/cliff on the left then spun up and round and ended up on the other side of the road with the right hand front quarter wedged under the guard rail. I wasn't driving it anywhere near as hard as it goes and boy did it used to handle so I have no idea why it let go. Suppose I never will. Ah, just real sad. I'm not usually a whinge but I feel fit to cry at the drop of a hat at the moment. Just want my car back. :P
