Once again, another car has been broken into... :lolcry: Rolln16s cute little hatch was a target yesterday sometime.... The fixed glass in the rear door was broken to enter the car.... Luckily, only the 6x9s in custom boxes were taken... Stupid Idiots didnt even notice the Monoblock amp sitting right next to them...... :) When is enough, ENOUGH!...... They tried breaking the rear window, side door window, and even tried to break the weather strips! These people will be found........ NOT HAPPY!..... ps. Also, another member on here :RAMSAY:s car was stolen from the same area not only a month ago!.... It was later found dumped in a creek, WRITTEN OFF!...

* EDIT KE70s did come out with the updated front end, so could possibly have a 4kc stock... Just have to check the plates... Nick here on rollaclub changed back to a 4kc from a 4ac, as the 4ks are much more reliable as the 4ac are prone to blowing head gaskets.. Also, the 4ac are only single cam, you are thinking of the 4ac's in the fwd ae series.... IMO Id go 4age, so many people have done this, its soo easy these days! Good luck anyway...! :jealous:

Rolla_Boy.... Yeah, i had one once, which was a donor car for my wagon....The guy had driven it to QLD all the way from WA. (kicks self for wrecking it!) And that 4k was over 300,000 kms, and was flogged in the wagon, thought to be dead, and then revived in my mates ke35 coupe and now he thrashes it..... and i think its only had one oil change!....... :faq: Does anyone have pics of some modified ke30 2 doors?

Yeah, its a hard life, all these decisions! :D Would love a carb S/C powered KE20 w/ white wall tyres, venetian and a little sun visor!........ KE70 would be the way of the future, decent suspension (getting away from the rear leafs) tonnes of easier upgrades (ae71/ae86).. How much do the early ke70s weight in at? :faq:

OK guys..... Thinking of a new project and after some opinions...... ECUs, wires everywhere, injectors etc..... Great fun, but i miss the ol' skool!....... I want to go back to the good old k series, so easy to work on.... Ive got the 5k engine finally running right, but was just wondering what shell? I was after either a sedan or 2door preferably around the ke30 series..... Possible options are: KE30 sedan - love the looks KE20 2door - Small, Light, Expensive? KE70 - More modern, Decent rear suspension, but to NEW! Possibly build up a hot 4k, or supercharged 5k... COMMENTS PLEASE?....... :faq:

Alright! UPDATE: Weekend 20th - 21st... 1. Installed better condition diff. 2. Installed engine 3. Made gearbox mounts + loop 4. Installed rack 5. Started planning for Firewall / Cowl Everything went like a dream, easy fit (normally very hard) got all of our clearances correct. Havent finished the engine tube bar yet though... Next up is the K member, and the bracing for the firewall, body and floor! :) can't wait... Pictures tell a thousand stories - so Ive heard anyway... :)

Hey Guys, Another update ASAP... We have built x 2 rods over the past 6 years, and up here, the rules havent changed. As i previously stated, our best friend is a Inspection Officer, and he has all the updates, and lays down the rules... We are ASRF members also... Sucks to be down that way! :) NoPsi - I Beam? Damn, hope you got some money! Wish i was rich enough to afford one of those for my hot rod!... Glad to hear that everyone is enjoying this thread!........ Keep them comments rolling... :D I can't wait to get this thing going... v8 power with 1/3 the weight of a commodore! :)

Valuable comments. Very interested to chat more, and here some more stories. :D Up here, Hot Rodding is all about Old Skool, and the ways it used to be... I am 100% sure it will pass for full rego. This is the third one that we have built, and will be the third one to go on full rego. Obvisiously things are a little different up this way. Up here all rodders build scratch built chassis, restore original ones (ford/chev etc), or buy pre built ones to suit whatever body they use. The good thing about scratch building, is that you can have it how you want it... I will post up some pics ASAP of the previous ones that we have built. Cheers for the comments. :)
