  1. wow a 1979 KE70 i didn't think they got THAT old
  2. stop lamps aren't working in my KE70! i've checked all 3 fuse boxes and the bulbs are fine. Would anyone know what coudl be wrong? Reversing lamps don't work either but i'm assuming thats not related... would anyone be able to point me in the right direction?
  3. haha i drove down past scifleet today and saw teddy's car with dirt all up the sides
  4. oh ok, so you didnt actually modify the mounts, you just added washers? thats not so hard then
  5. yeah, if anyone has a digital camera, i would much appreciate photos of a modified 7K sump!
  6. thanks man, and yeah if you do manage to find out what other mods you had to do, I would love to hear about it :jamie: is there any chance someone would be able to share what exactly they did to standard 4K engine mounts to fit a 7K into a Corolla?
  7. those front lips don't make sense to me ...wouldn't it jsut be scooping wind DIRECTLY into the perfectlyflat and wind resistant front?... lol looks cool
  8. would anyone know if i'd be incorrect in assuming that i wouldn't have to modify the sump in putting the engine in a KE70?
  9. ok cool thanks, so apart from modifying 4K mounts, it bolts straight in? onto a standard K series gearbox?
  10. So, 4K engine mounts will not be right to accomadate a 7K? Did the 7K fit in your race car with its stock sump? From what other people said... they had to use a different sump? Have some conflicting information here, who can shed some light on this?
  11. I think the KE70 is actually an old school shape, probably the very last of the old school corollas. After the KE70, corolla styling goes headlong into 80's styling. In my opinion, new school rims are are at home on new school cars... I really hate to see new school rims with low profile tyres on old cars, its just not right. Some smaller, possibly even 15 inch old school rims on the KE70 would look tough as nails Watanabes look good on at least one KE70 I've seen on this site As for hotwires, I have them on my KE70 and I honestly think it looks perfect for the style of the car... remove the side strips from the car and chuck some hotwires on with dish and you'll have one tough looking KE70
  12. is it a fact or just your opinion? you just contradicted yourself You are not voicing your opinion, you are acting like a twat I seriously do not appreciate anything you have said on rollaclub at all, please take this kind of thing elsewhere... I implore you to act this way with actual people instead of on a forum and see how far you get. Please show some respect. Your sexually insecure insults are incredibly pathetic and childish and I also implore you to look into homosexuality as a valid option
  13. Is this really necessary on any forum... let alone this forum?
  14. Yeah ok that may have been a bit harsh. Frankly I don't understand why you'd keep something you love on the shelf and just sit there admiring it... when a lot of the reason you admire it is because of how much you do, or WOULD in this case, enjoy using it. That just seems to be a pretentious and strange thing to... but thats just my opinion
  15. The question is, what are cars made to do? Get built into brick walls or something weird and traditional like... driving them? Pretentious fools
  16. i saw one of these types of things online once where a guy used "fragile" tape down the sides of the car as stripes
  17. http://www.fatdx.orcon.net.nz/ Haha check this out, that KE30 is probably not 3K powered
  18. actually KE70's do have a slight lowrider shape to them, the insane boxiness can be compared to early 80's cadillacs and that sort of shit... in some abstract way
  19. i lie, this bumper removal job is actually not too bad, but he's done some bodywork too: :D thats some serious dish
  20. Honestly I'm not overly fussed, its pretty cool, I've seen better versions of these strange foreign KE70's... I do think it would look better without the stripes Heaps of credit for the bumperless job he's done.... All KE70's i've seen apart from this one without bumpers have looked plain wrong probably goes like a shower of shit :D definately could do with some nicer rims Its not a thumbs down its definately a cool car but yeah
  21. haha awesome what a rude pole one of the dictionary definitions of rude is: robust and sturdy :(
  22. yeah the k motors were originally made on a slant to fit into a KE10, from then on they were just reproduced, i do believe
  23. yeah they do.
  24. thats pretty good dude pinstriping is a very stylish touch on old cars, i love it
  25. in response to the first post: just out of interest, a commodore rearview mirror fits old corollas, of some sort. don't remember which model commodore exactly. its bigger than the standard KE70 mirror and black plastic, suits my KE70 great :lock_folder: oh and i love toyotas, they just make sense, in general.
