  1. CASE CLOSED All I needed was some nice, big, expensive vice grips, and to use them when it was cold and rainy, clamped on really freaking tight. peice of piss. cheers guys.
  2. Norse KE70? \m/
  3. ^^^^ i can get them too, anyone want some from me, say so, i will get them even cheaper i'm getting a giant chainring cut for my bike soon, and i'll cut some fuel pump blockoffs as well, if anyone's interested
  4. <STEERS TOPIC LEFT AND GOES BUSH BASHING FROM TEDDY'S SUGGESTION WITH INTENTION TO GO BACK TO ORIGINAL TOPIC> is an electric fuel pump required for a 7K motor? or some kind of fuel pump... aside from what may or may not come with a standard 7K?
  5. cheers dude, .... any more info? is the brand "SK"?
  6. STFU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol and that was a goddamn helpful response cheers Teddy.
  7. CLICK FOR IMAGE I've been trying to unscrew one of the bolts that hold the fuel pump onto the block.... assuming they are double ended.... Excuse me for having little knowledge of fastners, hardware stores and "the store formerly known as coventry auto parts" don't know either, and mates, all have no idea how to do this aside from with an extractor screw or "easy outs" which sound like they do the same thing. Pictured is the bolt in question with an extractor screw that I've been trying to use to remove it. Any suggestions? Its not really working. I've tried using a spanner with the extractor... it shaved off some meat from the inside... should i drill deeper and saw off the end of the bolt and try again? How would you get these frigging things out without using an extractor screw?!?! Surely there's a way to get these nuts out without destroying them?!?!
  8. yeah a couple of years ago my dad got me cheap, new tires for my 21st...... "thats all you need" now it handles worse and understeers, can't even "drift in the wet" the car just goes stupid and understeers... haven't ben in emergency in the wet where i NEED to control the car and the idea scares me... .,.. before that i i was running a different tread pattern on EACH WHEEL, which is how the car came. actually handled really well.
  9. that was on a KE70 as well hey maybe i'll just do the fronts
  10. Hi If you've bought tires for a KE** that you're happy with, I'd like to hear you rant about it. KE70 preferred. Why they're good, the fact that you got a good deal, what situations on the road were improved, how they go in the wet ... my front tires lose traction before the back.... didn't do that before
  11. nice car i love it :sob:
  12. I had a disco ball exactly like that like 4 years ago in my ke70
  13. it could have turned out worse
  14. thing is, people like this could achieve the same effect by just suddenly busting out with random abuse directed at nobody in particular and running around flailing their arms at the same time
  15. Rover V8 rocks
  16. No, it was overheating seriously and i changed the thermostat, its new
  17. Gday My KE70 runs fine, but randomly the heater stops working and the engine runs hot. Randomly the heater will start working again, and the car will not run hot anymore. Can anyone suggest as to what the hell is going on with my car? :D p.s. there is also a swishing sound like a lot of water moving, mainly during startup. I can't pinpoint exactly where the swishing comes from. It comes from the front of the car...
  18. Got power to weight?
  19. that would be awesome if you did!
  20. that'd be a start, cheers man!!
  21. I can picture the king springs workshop now Head Engineer: "So you've just repackaged the stock line... after chopping a bit off? To make the car lower?" Engineer: "yeah mate these are made to be chopped we're even thinking of just having one spring design and selling it off with little dotted lines because theyre MADE to be chopped. They're also really hard so they're perfect in every way. We don't even need to test them, because I did it to a corolla once and it drifted great in the wet. Hell why did I even bother doing a mechanical engineering degree, this stuff is so obvious and simple. Its just a spring, I mean its not like it bears the load of a tonne of f*cking steel hurtling down a wet bitumen road at above 100km/h. Lets not bother looking too deeply into it, she'll be right mate, looks tuff tho ay" Head Engineer: "Yeah mate, no worries." In other words, thanks but I don't REALLY want to cut my springs, I'm just curious as to stock ride height of a KE70
  22. Gday I'm currently unsure of what I'm going to do with my KE70's suspension. I have "stock" springs in, but theyre either chopped, not actually stock, or badly badly sagging, because the car looks low and tough. Would not like to put in king lows if they are higher than the car is now, because any higher wouldn't cut it, and I happen to have some king lows to suit KE70. Anyone got a minute to measure the ride height of their stock KE70? please take into account stock wheels or not. If possible, as well as measuring from the road, please measure from the centre of your wheel to the wheel arch, as this will account for different wheels.... although it couldn't be that different could it... Anyone's help would be hugely appreciated.
  23. Hey guys My KE70 makes a sorta brake squeeling sound except.. when I'm not using the brakes at all, it randomly does it when I'm driving Anyone know what could be going on? Cheers ;)
  24. thats pretty cool wish it still had the corolla badges on it.
  25. an alternator off an RB25 fit onto your 5K did this bolt on?
