  1. Cheers "horse shoe clip": Anyone bought some for KE** drum brakes before?
  2. i can't find a google image of what i'm talking about !
  3. NOT the spring retainers! the pin i'm talking about goes through the very top-most hole of the brake shoe. Its like a ROUND washer, except for the end bits that go a bit skinny. I've attached a quick sketch of the shape below: Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  4. Gday Hunting how to find some new drum brake circlips that go on inside and outside of brake shoes on rear of KE70. They look like strange open-ended washers about 1cm diameter (don't quote me) Does anyone know where to buy them new or what they are called? Cheers
  5. cheers
  6. o rly
  7. Gday Does anyone have any idea where the wire to the stock antenna is in a KE70? cheers
  8. those are some seriously nice rims
  9. is your toyota badge imbued with the spirit of satan or did you just paint it to look red?
  10. To me having a overrated KE70 is like having a overrated Tupperware container.
  11. haha tough gig! what are you using to cut it with there? cutting disk on angle grinder?
  12. why did you do that to the white ke70
  13. hey mate, whilst you've got that panel off... (do you still have it off?) i would really appreciate it if you could have a quick look at where that parker cable goes into the cabin of the KE70, as i'm having some really weird issues with my parkers and them catching fire, not working, depending on their mood. keep up the good work
  14. i was able to hook up the spaghettios as per diagram btw.... runs better, still, i don't know why it runs better.
  15. i think Troy's car is living proof that whitewalls on a ke20 can be good taste.
  16. my theory is basically that goats think for themselves and set trends, and sheep follow and re-pronounce what they see and making random bleating sounds as they file into the slaughterhouse by their own will. that said, I have read way too much Nietzsche. THAT said, this is a car forum, not a philosophy forum. *crickets*
  17. Hi guys My right parker caught fire so i changed the entire bulb housing assembly, the wires were melted. After the assembly change the bulb didn't work, and its been left for a week, then it worked for about 5 mins today, i came back later and it was not working again. I'm sure this is easy fixed once I know where the wires are and what connections could have issues, but has anyone had this issue before so i don't have to dig around? MY KE70 manual doesn't include the parkers in the wiring diagram..........
  18. that's some seriously nice paint, really suits the car.
  19. on a more serious note in terms of my opinion, i'm actually more repulsed by "big chrome rims" and "bling" on old cars, but of course it all depends on WHY you're doing it, you might have a car thats built for performance and have mods that aren't as period-perfect but work better. that doesn't apply to whitewalls of course, and again it depends on why you're doing it, some people just like "old school" stuff and aren't pretentious about the period itself, but rather the fact that its retro... different kind of tastes... if you're going to start complaining about other people's poor taste, i'd be more sympathetic if it was about people putting "bling" on a corolla, since its a cheap car. To me, this raises the "idiot" flag, since if they wanted to show off their prowess with shiny objects, they would have been better off showing off the fact that they're saving their money with a sensible car they're not modding, or at least showing off the BMW they could have bought without mods, istead of pimping out a poor old corolla. of course, this all implies that i understand what on earth goes on between the ears of such a person, and i honestly don't. if i really did, i would do the same thing to my car.
  20. also try not to put wooden wheels on a 57 chevy or anything that is analogous to doing this
  21. i suggest you do not put white-walls on a ke70, unless you were planning on doing so. i also suggest that you don't put white-walls on any 70's or 80's car, unless you were planning on doing so.
  22. do we have an address for this place?
  23. Hey guys, just wondering if anyone could help explain what the abbreviations in these diagrams stand for: http://www.rollaclub.com/faq/index.php?tit..._System_Diagram It says "In case you are wondering what all the different pieces of the 4K-C emission system are, here is a more detailed description" with nothing written below it, not sure if there's something wrong with my browser.
  24. i've actually done mine by connecting it straight to the battery and having a gigantic chrome switch next to the cd player in the console. i like it better. you might not. think outside the box?
