  1. I'm pretty sure I don't? Ill have the check on that one. So by the sounds of it resetting my leaf springs wont solve the issue?
  2. Hey guys since I've changed my wheels on my ke26 I have noticed more so (it was like it before also) that at the rear the passenger side is 10-15mm higher than the drivers side. Sounds stupid but is this because someone has always sat in the drivers side for 40 years and the driver side leaf has slightly sagged? Or are there other variables that effect ride height? Its not the shocks as they are completely farked. Troy
  3. You f@$king rock. Makes my 18rg look lame as hell.
  4. Didn't get a chance to as i didn't head down to the port. I'm saving it for a bright sunny day! I'm just sorting out the details with the cruise :)
  5. I think it looks good as is. If it was up to me I would remove the bump guard on the door and the badge, but theres holes underneath and they are original! The black strip along the side breaks up everything and gives it a slightly fresher line, without its a little bland for my liking. Troy
  6. Mirrors look good mate, look period specific. Now just need some walls on that bad boy!
  7. Sounds good to me! I should mention that weather is critical, if its going to be raining and a shit day it will get postponed, but ill give everyone a few days notice however.
  8. I may have a couple lying around?
  9. Haha i was just about to message you, get that pimping crown looking sweet!
  10. Why not standard?
  11. Ok guys I'm starting weekend work in about 3 weeks so I thought I would see if anyone is keen for a 'pre square' toyota meet and greet. What i mean by 'pre square' is basically any Toyota pre KE70 or before Toyota's went to a square shape. I'm talking about old Corolla's, Celica's, Crown's, Cressida's, Corona's etc generally of the 70's era. Now before i go on please let me state there is nothing wrong with any later Toyota's, ke70's etc. I just think it would make for a cool meet and photo for a bunch of toyotas of the same era, would be interesting for comparisons etc. Now I know there are plenty of cars here in SA so who's interested?? It will be during the day sometime in the next few weeks, either a sat or sun i assume would work best for most? If i get a bit of interest on here ill spread the work on other forums, toymods and such. Open to suggestions on meet area, day, cruise route after perhaps? Troy
  12. Ive always liked his car. Great colour, much different than the norm for ke20's. Reminds me a bit of my first car.
  13. Haha how do you figure that one?
  14. Thats a pretty good price, it just seems in SA they would like to charge an arm and a leg for widening. I got quoted $150 a year ago so I don't see how there can be such an increase here? Haha ill send out the licence plate award haha. Sounds good on getting the two together. I was thinking of trying to organise a 'Pre square' toyota meet and greet / photoshoot. (anything pre ke70 I suppose?) Might get a good turn out with a little bit of notice? I'm liking the steelies, not over the top but not boring stockies. Just wanted the freshen the trim up and get her looking a bit different without making it look like it wasn't stock.
  15. Looks pretty clean! All the cool kids drive KE26's.
  16. Looks stunning already Gav!
  17. Not a chance ;) Its a pretty cool spot actually, next time i might try to drive up onto the actual platform! I brought them already widened. I found a member on ausrotary and nagged him to death to sell them to me, they were f@$ked to begin with but after a bit of hard work they came up a treat. Widening costs HEAPS here in SA, $220 a wheel. Defiantly looks better without :)
  18. Well it was a shame the weather was average for Toyoshow today, we didn't get a huge turnout but it was still a fun day, meet some great people. Panel took out 1st place classic, was voted entrants choice and got best number plate haha Heres some snaps of the van from the day and on the drive home. Get a haircut!
  19. Run the 20's, they look awesome! hahahahahhahahahahahahahah Everything is coming together nicely mate. Troy
  20. Hows Toyoshow been so far guys? I'll be down for the show and shine tomorrow.
  21. Just finished getting ready for toyoshow, got the car clean even though its going to rain tomorrow morning. The last couple days I have: -Painted behind the grill area matte black -Painted all plastic trim pieces -Painted grille black with silver outline -New cover for panel area -Various other bits and pieces Sorry about the shit pictures, it was the best i could do in my garage, lighting isn't exactly great. Its not that much lighter it was just the light in the photo. For anyone in Adelaide ill be at Wigley reserve at Glenelg for toyoshow tomorrow if you want to come check out the car in the flesh!
  22. Ive been busy with the car today getting some things painted and getting the car clean for toyoshow (even though its going to rain). Didn't get a chance to get some full pictures, I will over the weekend though, until then everybody can just picture in their heads haha. Cannot whitewall over any writing on the tires these days in SA, and unless your grinding right into the tire the whitewall will not many almost any difference to the strength of the sidewall. Troy
  23. I have been considering a thick red pinstripe. I'm going to have a play tomorrow with some tape!
  24. Bit of a teaser as to how these turned out. I'm liking my choice of colours.
  25. Maxxis tires. Only one i could find in a 175/60R13. Not cheap chinese stuff. Painted the rear arches in the panel area today as they were all scratched up (right side has clear in this photo): and.............. a little teaser picture of the new wheels, yes that is the THICKEST whitewall i can legally run unfortunately. Ill put up a full picture tomorrow.
