  1. The panel industry will only continue to get worse, its just cheaper to replace then repair these days. The craftsmanship in that car is amazing.
  2. Here's a sneak peak of my next project. 1966 MS47 Crown Masterline (ute) 2M (I think) with 3 speed manual Its been sitting for a while and I'm just getting around to starting it now, first steps are to get wheels and suspension sorted, make sure it runs and drives well then paint. Just picked up a new set of shoes for her, they are Cragar 15x8 -+0, need to put some stretch on the tires to get inside the guards.

    Spotted

Saw Tally's KE25 in the city last night.
  4. 12's with flappers do look quite good like Greg runs: Wide steel wheels also look period correct (these are also for sale):

    Spotted

Spotted a white KE20 on Anzac highway today, black wheels with trim rings and a venetian. Looked great.
  6. Dammit this is awesome. Quality work.
  7. Shes staying local. The new owner will be out cruising her most weekends.
  8. Yep sold for a fair price.
  9. That was a sad day we found out the Sak Wags was gone.
  10. Goodbye old friend. Enjoy your new home.
  11. This is 13x7 +6 (175/65), so your fronts will poke a little, but the rears will be out approx 15-20mm?
  12. I wish I has my manual lying around somewhere for damn part numbers! Is there an online resource for this stuff?
  13. Hey guys somehow my 5K has snapped all 6 flywheel bolts clean off, does anyone have any idea where I can get some stock replacements? I don't want to use the old flywheel bolts I have lying around, I would rather start with a new set. Tensile strength has to be correct of course.
  14. Hey guys I'm in need of a new starter motor for my 5K, what options do I have? I have a 3K one lying around but it seems that the mount is smaller than my current one? Am i just nuts?
  15. There's enough room down there for socks, I drive with them on just didn't have them on for photos as there looking pretty filthy. Sump isn't baffle'd, I can't see it going around a track any time soon, haven't had any pressure issues on the street before?
  16. I've still gotta paint the top section of the engine bay, there's some surface rust under the latch that needs a tidy up but apart from that its reasonably tidy, painted the block and cleaned up everything else as best I could.
  17. Spend a bit of time getting my 23 alot nicer to drive lately. Finally took out the old 18RC with the auto and swapped in an 18RG with a 5 Speed. Replaced a bunch of gaskets and got any leaks sorted, heat wrapped the extractors and spent a bunch of time cleaning up the engine bay, gave it a quick polish and tidied up some wires. Old 18RC Out: Empty Engine Bay: Painted Crossmember and cleaned up paint as best I could: Extractors: After Wrap: Sitting in Engine bay: Ready for drive: All finished and clean:
  18. It was the coil. Easy fix.
  19. That's first on my list to replace. I love having a complete parts car :)
  20. It does very much feel like a carb issue , although I don't understand as why it would be intermittent like that. Checking the levels is tough as there side drafts.
  21. Hey guys I'm having a somewhat strange issue in my RA23. So I just put an 18RG in her that I had lying around, no problems there, pretty standard with the normal solex's. Its been driving good for a few weeks. Last weekend I done a oil and coolant change, let it idle for 10min to open up the thermostat then shut it down. After that I took it for a drive and it was running like total crap, it was bogging down real bad and it didnt really feel like all 4 were firing together. Started it again today, drove like crap for 5min then like magic it cleared up and run good again, 30 minutes later it all of a sudden died again (at least 50% drop in power) and was bogging down bad. I assume its not mechanical as its an intermittent problem? What could cause something like this?
  22. No such thing as cheap. It will set you back minimum $150 a wheel. The only place I would go is extensive wheel services on South road, just don't confuse it with Adelaide wheel and rim.
  23. I could come down in my 23? Or maybe even my 26 if I get it tuned before then?
