  1. Are these for the AE71? 7kg seems a little stiff for the rear. Remember, what works for one person might not work for yourself. I'm not sure what sort of skill level you are at but as teddy demonstrated at the skidpan a stiffer higher grip setup was more of a hinderance than a help. There was a vast improvment once he jumped into the KE70's softer more familiar setup. Now that I think about it, I was better off getting the basics down in my stock red sprinter and then changing to a stiffer less forgiving setup. (which still manages to bite me in the arse some times)
  2. T3 coilovers are nice but you can probably source your own locally for cheaper. don't waste your money on shit shocks. Buy the best to suit your needs within a resonable price range. Look into a set of short stroke shocks if you are going for that "defect me" low kind of look. My shocks alone were around 900 bucks to my door after factoring in shipping and customs duty etc :P The rear springrate will probably be around the 5-6kg range which should be fairly stiff for a car in the 800kg range. I'll stick with the normal setup ATM. I still need a diff. More importantly I need to do a few upgrades to the nut behind the wheel.
  3. Neo: I think 400lbs is close to 7kg. NiteP]-[yRe: you win a cookie!
  4. Lower...
  5. Got my coilovers back on wednesday. They consist of RA65 celica struts shortened to suit tokiko HTS struts. I can't remeber what the coilover sleeves were but they're mated to a pair of 400lbs king springs. On with the pics! oh! mad props goes out to Paul at RallyTorque These things are a work of art. bring bring Springrate Front on lowest setting Side shot, lowest setting Better perspective Cookie to whoever can guess the ground clearance. Delicious.
  6. Remember guys, your post count is inversely proportionate to you penis size.
  7. Grr F%^King cats! I keep a row of plastic bottles half filled with water near my back door. I swear my backyard is fight club for all the local cats. FFS! If you going to F%^King own a cat, keep the F%^King thing inside at night. :) - Sleep deprived mumblezzz
  8. Sure its all part of the fun to have a giggle at peoples loses but some people did nothing bash some competitors all day for not being the next tsuchiya.
  9. mmm, I want a Levin coupe.
  10. Yeah sorry I couldnt hang around for longer I had a quick chat with a few club members while you were on your run and then had to bolt off down the road to say hi to a few people at the drags then go and see some friends at the drift day as well. I can totally understand the whole unfriendly atmosphere in the croud at the drift day. The whole "sport" if you will is over-run with posers and shit talkers with big egos. Sure you can laugh at the people who are ploughing and spinning out all over the place but they're the one out there giving it a go. and thats what counts. All i see parked around the track are the usual s13's, ae86, a31, FC3S etc and when you ask them why they arent out there all you get are excuses.
  11. What is the standard KE20 insert dimensions? Casing, stroke etc. Did you want to shorten the strut??? whats the inner diameter of the KE20 strut? Its a waste of time going with SS inserts in the standard casings, you'll just bottom out everywhere.
  12. The Club4AG FAQ is probably the best explanation of the short stroke conversion i've seen on the internet. Plus it can be applied to pretty much any old corolla. I'm having a pair of HTS into some RA65 Celica struts and converted to coilover.
  13. Very nice. Should be lots of fun. I wish we got your 240 km/h speedometers. Not that I could even get close to those speeds.
  14. For those that are interested. Results Are these the latest results or have they been revised. Apparently I'm a corolla driver and even better, Fooks a sprinter driver! Whiskey Tango Foxtrot????
  15. I thought the FWD pintaras had the KA24DE. They're a dirty truck motor (much like the SR) so they're very torquey.
  16. 3T-GTE for something different.
  17. Nick, I could do with a couple of those stickers for both cars.
  18. http://www.turbosupras.com/gallery/album09?page=1 Found some more pics of the event.
  19. Boot: at least 2 spares tires and a tow rope. Floor jack, wheel brace and a timber offcut behind the driver seat. Zipties, tape, cams license, P plate :D, rego shit receipts, CD wallet etc in the glove box. Fire exstinguisher in the passenger footwell.
  20. Fook: Haha, you sure you want to do that? My suspension setup would make baby jesus cry. Rob: thanks for the kind words. It means a lot to hear that from someone like you. Thanks for the photos Haikal. You got the one with my arm out the window. :)
  21. damn you guys get in quick. Thanks guys.
  22. I think its just the way the actor said it. I would assume the script writers meant it to come out as "motec, exhaust" instead of "motec exhaust."
