actually i lied about the standard rear suspension, its actually got king lows with adjustable TRD blue shocks. The coilovers were just so low in the front it looked like standard. I also just recieved my tokico HTS from japan in the mail the other day. can't wait to get those in. :D I'm also looking for some 14x7 wheels with a 0 offset or lower to clear the coilovers.

So the old mans getting a bit pissed off with the once mighty 4ac making a nice lawn ornament in the front yard. We're trying to sell the house and its not helping. So its gotta go. Are there any places that will give money for the scrap metal or am I better off to just take it to the tip and let it rust? Also is there anything worth salvaging that might be wanted by anyone?

Just flag down a snap-on truck and get some of those. :D

Has anyone noticed how most of Toms posts are related to food? :D -

Well after a week without my car I was itching to get behind the wheel again. It was by sheer luck that one of the guys at work who also owns a sprinter decided he wanted a new car. So this baby was up for sale. 83 model, 240 k's, a few small spots of rust here and there, front coilovers (standard rear :D ) and included with the deal was a complete 4AGE engine with loom and ecu etc and a few other odds and ends. So now ive got something to get me to work and a new heart for my red beater. Anyways.... On with the pics! (CBF resizing so i'll link them) Pics are suck Pics are suck Bon appetite.

Hope you all have a good time today. I'll be at home sourcing a new engine for my car. :D

New or used? I'd hit that like a freight train.

The clutch was replaced about 3 months ago, can I use it again or are they different between 4ac - ge? I'm sticking with the factory efi setup, nothing fancy, I just want to get it going again so I can get to work. :D I miss it already. What about a rollaclub help day, where everyone can come share their knowledge???

I'm set on a 4ag conversion for my car as it seems a waste of time to put in another 4ac to only rip it out in a couple of months time. So what I wanted to ask was what ingreients do i need to make sure this conversion isnt half-baked. I realise I need a: 4ag engine, loom, ecu, mainfolds, alternator. Anything I missed?? Fuel pump, surge tank. Any reccomendations?? Lines, hoses etc Have I missed anything important? What can i recycle from my old engine? Any help, tips, experiences would be appreciated.

It actually started the next morning when i decided to move it off the front lawn and onto the driveway. :ninja: the 4ac can nevar die!

I'm strongly considering pushing the 4ag swap up to now and getting it over with. The problem is the lack of complete 4age's in RWD configuration. I know of about 3 long motors for sale but I'm in need of the complete package. arrg. Also petey i need help getting the old bastard out. I'll give ya a ring tommorow.

Patient: Toyota 4ac 19 years of age, 520,242kms Time of death: 10:49 Cause: Terminal Headgaskitis Notes: So it finally happened. I was taking an nice cruise out through the back roads of mudgeeraba when i noticed a pinging noise under throttle, looked at the temp guage, "Oh Shit" I believe were the words. Pulled over but it was too late. It had somehow blown the top hose clean off and dumped the entire contents of the radiator onto the road. Stuck the hose back on, called some mates to bring extra water, filled it up and drove it home. Oh well, will probably just replace it with another 4ac for the tme being unless I can find a 16v 4age with loom, ECU and manifolds for cheap? :ninja:

Yeah I should be there provided I havent broken anything or theres some important event to attend. :spam2: :vw:

1st car was a 1985 XF falcon  Hand me down from mum when i got my P's. Sold it to a mate and bought my current car the 86. The END.

Whats this drift you speak of??? I'm safety driver.

Brisbane residents can meet wherever the hell they want cause i wouldnt have a clue ??? (maybe garden city or something???) then cruise down the M1 at a safe 110 km/h, then take the northern most nerang exit number 69, turn right and follow that road where we can meet up with the gold coast people at mobil nerang, then we can continue our journey westward out through springbrook enjoying a lazy drive through the country where we end up at natural arch, (theres a metric shitload of parking) where we can all enjoy a few beef and/or beef realated products and perhaps an alchoholic beverage or several for those who arent driving. Then maybe a stroll through the forest before we head back towards the coast where we have a couple of options: #1 Maybe a detour through beechmont and around tamborine. plenty of photo opportunities??? #2 out through springbrook and down towards mudgeeraba where we can meet at shell mudgeeraba and disperse?? this is just my suggestion, I'm not the organisational type i couldn't care less where we go but maybe we can decide on what everyone wants to do. longest post ever. -Paul

I propose a cruise to natural arch. Nice scenic drive and BBQ areas to sacrifice a cow or 3.
-
You would be amazed at the strange looks i get driving around in this old shitbox car with the windows up on a 40 degree day. :ninja:
-
I live on the coast so its a bit of a mission to drive up to brissy plus the fact I'm lazy... Organise a bbq cruise to hinze dam or something, i live like 10 minutes away. :ninja:

Fact #1. My car has air conditioning. Fact #2. It works. Fact #3. When A/C is on a kid on a razor scooter would cut a quicker 0-400 time. The best idea would be to just tax the A/C system off another ke70 (they came with A/C???) and then add more power to make up the deficit.
