You got yourself a real Bargain there. I have 2 Nanna spec rollas mine are rust free but a bit more knocked around, one nanna pulled out in front of a car and took the left front out . the other Nanna run the left side along a white road post. :D

I took these pics last year in an central Australia wrecking yard Spot the AE and KE's. What was interesting despite most of the older cars living outside most of their lifes they had little or near no rust!!!

My experience with export is that it will wash off if petrol is spilled on it and it fades bad.

wattyl kill-rust gloss black spray can is cheap and sets hard as it is an epoxy, it will hold up better on wheels than a cheap enamel.

This is a very simple circuit 12 + is at the globe, door pillar switch's earth completing the circuit. Check bad earths at door pillars, Check switch at light is connecting where it should. it unscrews from the roof and you can see the switch contacts at the rear.

If the side skirt or sill pannel is rusted it is a structual component and defectable RTA have scanners to see rust that has been fibreglassed up. if the rust is that bad maybe look for a shell and transplant all your good parts onto it.

If the vehicle is Auto and fitted with a trimatic also check the modulator on the back of the transmission , the diaphragms split and trans fluid gets sucked up the vacuum line. :y:

The birdwood classic is for cars at least 30 years of age. So in 2009 for the next birdwood classic cars made before 1978 should be able to enter. Nice car it was a real steal at that price a real bargain !!!!! I always wanted one with a 20 valve engine a freind bought one new. they were a special order with the 20v it took a extra few weeks to deliver.

Antique tyres have the bigest range in Australia http://www.antiquetyres.com.au/ they have distributors in most states, I just bought a set of full white walls 600 x 19" for my vintage car they are very expensive. kumo has a series with a white stripe for about $120 each.

another pic of that neat ke30 2 door. I wish it was mine !!!!! and the ke11 was tidy too. the green celica did not have a number that may just have been a daily driver?
