  1. watch out for that hail my yellow ke30 has real bad hail damage, it turns a pres-tine car into a parts car in seconds.
  2. Thats good, I am glad you found the fault instead of just jumping in and changing, cleaning components.
  3. 86% I did rush it a bit.
  4. Mr Hart what a Mess !!
  5. Looking good, nice rust repairs, looks like this wagon will also come in very handy for moving stuff as well..
  6. its a good circuit just add a 5 amp in-line fuse i understand how the circuit works, I Have also seen how some people run wires, My corolla when i bought it had a 5mm single insulated house hold wire going from the battery terminal thru a sharp hole drilled in the firewall to the boot un fused.
  7. Firstly I am not trying to correct you, I am informing the forum how to find where the fault is. I am not talking about the trigger wire, I am talking about measuring the voltage drop first from the battery negative terminal to the starter, next from the positive terminal to the power stud at the starter, this 30 second job that will find any earth or power lead fault. I am also just trying to help the car owner as it seems everyone has an opinion.
  8. Very neat car it looks like it has been resprayed at some point, the white walls always make the car stand out.
  9. thats more like it.
  10. love that nice clean car welcome.
  11. The switching circuit on this one is safer if the switching wire shorted the lights would just come on, with the top circuit if the same wire shorted the headlight fuse would blow then you could be in a lot of trouble without headlights if driving at the time.
  12. You are getting ahead of your self. to check voltage drop between 2 points just put a volt meter at the two ends if it reads a value while cranking thats the amount of voltage drop.
  13. Come on rolla_boy post some pics.
  14. Would you be satisfied with a plastic one.?
  15. Looking good guys not long now and it will be on the road. :D :P
  16. also remember that if the lights are set above a certain height regardless of the brightness color they must only come on with high beam.
  17. then your ready for concrete.
  18. this is how to build a shed well its how i built mine anyway. build the two walls on the ground clad and fit gutters, stand up walls and bolt truss. square up pour footings, fit roof, cement. this might help JIP with his new project.
  19. LOL i had one the same last week some winner had painted the trans and starter, it worked for a while it must have been earthing around the bolt heads,
  20. UN screw it borrow a gauge from some where and check what the oil pressure is. I had a ke30 bypass valve stick once, had to drop the sump and clean out oil pump. if the engine has been run with a loose timing chain it grinds the alloy case filling the sump with grit.
