Its just a simple circuit, all globes that light the dash, there must be a wire toughing earth somewhere or a globe holder melted and shorting. I would remove all globes put a test light in series. if all the globes are removed the test light should not glow. If the test light does glow you need to wriggle wires ext until it goes out then you have found the fault.
