  1. Very nice is that the model that locks all the doors automatically when you reach 60 kmph?
  2. Electronic is definitely the way to go, on another note Bosch has stopped manufacturing some of its point range, others will soon follow. I would suggest anyone who plans to keep a points ignition stock up why the price is still reasonable.
  3. To put it simply there are 2 basic types of coils first points ignition and the other electronic ignition they have different windings they are not interchangeable. there are many different voltage coils. The voltage is usually stamped under the coil and sometimes weather to use with a ballast resistor, the voltage of the coil really doesn't matter as long as the correct voltage is fed to it. And always remember to earth the base of the coil otherwise a spark must jump there as well as the Spark plug.
  4. for the ultimate wheel alignment If the car is driven with only one occupant, get the alignment done whilst siting in the car
  5. wow it has/ had a bright blue tow-bar too. looking good.,
  6. Looking much better now what was with the bright colors was it owned by hippy's?
  7. that is perfectly normal Toyota run extra wires for factory or dealer fitted tape decks, Air cond . The loop looks very much the same as the neutral safety switch loop used on a manual. on a KE30 it is found under the R/H kick panel.
  8. you need to swap over the speedo cable drive gear on the end speedo cable (gearbox end) this unit is held inside the back housing of the gearbox by a plate with 1 bolt.
  9. Yes they do Max a KE55 with the Trimatic is a different mount. see pic
  10. what do all the light spades terminals look like ? I saw a NOS after market light base that the terminals had turned green whilst still in the box. I hate cheap Crap. if they are dirty clean them.

  12. the 2 doors are rarer than the proverbial rocking horse shit.
  13. Its reasonably stock it would almost go on historic registration. 90 days use through 12 month period for $120 just needs to be 30 years old, http://www.transport.sa.gov.au/registratio...egistration.asp
  14. WOW that cleaned up nice sure to keep boys in blue off your back.
  15. Collect the magnets inside the pans a few extra in the pan will help trap any metal.
  16. ooch thats got to hurt.
  17. I would think pre 1979 trimatics in rollas may have drain plugs the same as Holden's
  18. The BBC link is talking about a totally different subject "MSN 'to charge user fee'" John I think its spam mate.
  19. From HG 1970 was the start of trimatic so Toranas, kingswoods, premiers, statesman should have drain plugs about 1979 was when the accountants worked out they could save the cost of a plug. All 6 cylinders and most 4.2 V8 ran trimatics. I have rebuild 4 ,6 & 8,trimatics they have a few extra plates for the V8's that will be a future project a wild 7k with Tricked V8 trimatic.
  20. undo 3 bolts in 1 back corner of the pan slowly loosen the next bolts 1/4 turn it will slowly start running out the corner, as the flow slows loosen some more , this is the cleanest way to drain. once it has drained remove pan an drain last, throw away oil pan and replace with one from a 1970-1979 Holden 6 as they have a drain plug.
  21. Your the closest so far. Think in terms of gender lol. And they are all left hand drive
