  1. take the plastic chrome lock strip out of the center of the rubber all the way around the window. gently push the window out evenly, don't force one part or it will break. it should come out with the rubber intact as per the picture.
  2. are all the linkages throttle shafts ect in good condition? sometimes wear can jam things up or maybe the cable has also frayed making things tighter .
  3. hey that tint looks great was it a early Christmas present? i don't blame you for renaming the car I would of too.
  4. Max I have some bigger cars too, My 1938 Hudson 8 was on my mates 14 foot trailer last year and it was hanging out the back 6 foot the rear wheels were just inside the trailer. it was the a scary trip the hyd override brakes were doing little.
  5. They do look good, does it really make that much difference to the night driving? Are you sure the originals were aimed at the right height?
  6. As well as rollas I collect big yank tanks from the 20's 30's most weigh well over 2 tonne they are also long a few I own will hang over the back of even this 16 foot trailer.
  7. What sort of car is the new back seat out of ?
  8. a custom or modified cross-member Will be needed. The trimatic transmission, shifters are separate from the transmission, they are set up with linkages and can be mounted anywhere convenient for the manufacturer. I don't understand why more rolla owners don't use trimatics as its the same basic trans used behind a 308 v8 pulling around a 2.2 tonne statesman.
  9. This car will be far to good to park at a shopping center.
  10. LOL my MIG welder was made in 1969 the one at work is even older than mine. I also bought all the heavy 7 core cable today.
  11. Thanks for the comments everyone, jip plastic welding is so hard i saw a expert do it once there is something like 40 types of plastics. you need the right filler rod and it usually looks like it has been done a mile away, as for steel welding do a tafe course. I only did a 2 week welding course as part of my trade. its practice that will help the most.
  12. [looking good trav i got to say ke70's are starting to grow on me. what is next for this project ?
  13. I have been going to do this project for 10 years and never got around to it. I have taken photos of trailers I have liked, i will use the good points to hopefully make a perfect one. I have got a few quotes $8000 - $12000 I can build it well under that price and know what I have. I like this one off ebay but with a Gvm of only 2000 kgs it is way to light for Me. I also want a rear tailgate and provision for a winch.
  14. OK this project may take a little longer as i find out today I don't get a week off for Christmas just the public holidays and I will be on call for the public holidays.

  18. Try adjusting your clutch if that doesn't work drain and replace the gearbox oil. the syncro should be like new on first gear.
  19. Yes i bought a few ke30's from pickles including these 2 one damaged left front the other left rear. there has been a drought in the past 12 months. they will let you load onto a car trailer.
  20. I expect it to be finished in about 7-10 days, Then it has to be inspected as I am not a trailer manufacturer. I can make you one for sure maybe just a little smaller than this one is going to be 16 ft long and axle spring set able to carry over 3250kg
  21. I have about a week off over Christmas I am hoping to complete a Car trailer project I thought it may be of interest as a project to a few of you. I started today cutting and tacking together the main frame.
