  1. day 8 side braces, tie down braces clean prep and paint. I only painted so it doesn't rust will need a few more coats later. i still need to fabricate 2 ramps and fit braces to tailgate. then wire up
  2. AH Magic I wonder if they demonstrate fly wire for those big holes. :y: If it was sealed on the back it might last a while but probably not in a wheel arch.

  7. step 1 with the engine running put a volt meter across the battery on the lead terminals. should be at least 13.8 volts step 2 with engine running put a volt meter Leeds (red positive) on alternator output terminal on the back of alternator put (negative black) lead on the alternator housing try front middle and back housing. Voltage should be no higher than battery test above. if you post the voltage results here some one will point you in the right direction

  11. Day 7 fitted winch stand, battery box, ran some wire for front position markers. fitted tailgate, ramp locator's , 4 tie rails. and safety chains

  13. I will finish the trailer off and paint. the ramps will need to be fabricated from 40mm .4mm wall rhs. , I am a bit worried i might go into overtime on the project.
  14. you will have to take the fuse out when driving. imagine that coming on behind a police car.
  15. Strobe that sounds interesting how is that going to work. or where are you going to put it? its not blue on the roof is it? did you know that with some old cars the brake lights use to flash.

  18. because as well as being used as a parking device it is also an emergency brake. its got to be reliable.
  19. You will also notice some houses have the number 11A on there letterbox instead of 13.
  20. That was the plan axles and hitch rated at 3550 KG , trailer 1000 KG So carrying capacity 2550 KG I hope it doesn't go much over 1 tonne or it will affect the carrying capacity
  21. Dave, It will still be too close for my liking, I could also put in the lathe and face a bit off the bolt head. there are lots of options, spacers different rims. I will first contact where i ordered my axles from and ask them to fix it at there cost I told them the trailer width and wheels etc.
  22. your making progress, maybe try testing the resistance of the leads, check the distributer cap and rotor button as well a timing light should work even if the spark plug is shorted out.
  23. Day 6 cont I will have a think about the wheels I have a few options, I pressed on and fitted the guards and rear light holders.
  24. Thanks trav, I can use 10mm spacers but its a bit dodgy. the boss and studs are plenty long enough to do it.
