Red Velvet cake like i used on my trailer for the panno, with a white roof, a chrome or galvanized roof rack and silver pin stripe like the hardtops had.
Jack it up and block it up so it is safe.
give the tyre a good kick at top and bottom,
if to tight continue with the mallet.
if still too tight use a jack wedge or port a power between the chassis and wheel and push off
I Know panel vans have heavier springs but I also fitted pump up shocks to my ke30 rolla with a tow bar it helps. I have seen 2.5 tonne pulled successfully behind a Datsun 1200 wagon with a 1.6 l. Add a brake controller as well and you are in business.
this will make a tidy little project most 35's that i have looked at are full of rust, this one looks quiet tidy. I look forward to watching the progress.
I know how these projects can blow out of budget. you now have a tidy little corolla mover .
but it would drive Me nuts having to drive the truck up the ramps each time to load or unload, could you make longer ramps.
It must be there for an accessory like the blanks where cassette players are, maybe some thing like a wiper delay, light or brake controller. I will copy some of your accessory's fitted above for mine.
The wheels look great, I like the look of accessory's of the era, wheels, steering wheels, wind deflectors etc, I have a set of mags the same put away as-well.
does anyone know what purpose that slot is for on a KE 3X 5X ?
I would hit the wreckers and find one that will fit, I have been eying off a few universal cup holders off earthmoving equipment that would be very functional in a car.
I hate painting and panel beating as-well, Be disciplined and work at least 1 hour a day after work. try to do a small area at a time and undercoat as you go. the vehicle will soon be painted.
interesting idea using alloy ramps and tray, what sort of speed do you get out of the truck loaded?
I have just done the exact opposite sold my truck and built a car trailer.
I had a similar experience a few years back, with a car in bare metal, I had a small fire in the shed and put it out with a dry chemical fire extinguisher, it contained a wetting agent and the next day the car was rusty brown so I had to start again. I now only keep a water & co2 extinguisher.
