  1. Interesting car , What is that mounted on the roof ?
  2. great weather for painting ATM, I painted my trailer ramps with 2 pac yesterday. (it was 44 degrees here yesterday). I was surprised 20 min they were dry enough to turn and paint the other side. keep us informed of the progress.
  3. extractors were a good find, how long before you are back on the road?
  4. The bigger port the better flow its that simple, just because a exhaust valve is say 27mm you wouldn't run a 27 mm exhaust system. I have a standard big port head I can measure for you. in pic standard big port at bottom
  5. Max the crown wheel and pinion need to be a matched pair, then set up with precision and backlash clearances must be set using a dial indicator.
  6. Correct excluding the 4A 4AC (as no valve cut outs on pistons) Wrong quiet clearly 2 people in this post have ran other heads successfully.
  7. Radiator flushes i have found to be a complete waste of money, it is the flush with clean water and the run that does the most good, simple household vinegar is just as good . A good old steam clean I found is the best for crystallized coolant, for general gunk back flush with water and bursts of compressed air.
  8. methylene chloride mixed with airplane jelly (so it doesn't evaporate quick) works the best, off the shelf paint stripper will work it is just weaker. cover up wear gloves it burns skin. could start to eat the tyre as well.
  9. I wrecked this ke30 with rear chassis damage, Looking at the weak point of the chassis may help you decide how to improve your chassis.
  10. In SA Country a engine number check needs to be done at a police station, I think Metro needs to have the engine number inspection at Regency Park. Most good crash shops should have a chassis jig, you should be able to find one in your area.
  11. Just lightly on the vinyl Travis, I once used some sort of leather gel on mt vinyl lounge and it cracked allover I only use Armour oil now
  12. a car over 20 years old is not often put on the (WOVR) Written Off Vehicle Register, usually they are simply economical wright Offs. I think it can be repaired on a JIG first You need to inspect the inside for rust as in picture this will make the chassis rail weak.
  13. Hey good suspension upgrade :) There is an adjustment on the steering box to take the slop out, might be worth a try.
  14. Also Make sure you get a quality fuse holder, as some are poor quality and will fail.
  15. I have a waste oil tank at work as-well it is pumped out by Mullen's waste oil, then treated, sold to Adelaide Brighton cement & little Hampton bricks for the kilns
  16. That dry guide goat looks amazing will have to try :) Also don't forget to seal the back of the panel that was repaired so water doesn't start rusting things again, I use a zinc primer then some bitumen paint similar to that used on the under carrage.
  17. I ran a 4AFE head on a 4AFC Block, The 2 heads are identical except for a fuel pump cut out and injectors in inlet ports.
  18. The best advise i can suggest is to find someone running the same drive-line and start swapping components onto there car and see how they run on that.
  19. Is the commodore radiator core copper or aluminum?
  20. Max, If you are getting your paint from Crash Supplies, I have a Trade card you can borrow.
  21. looking good Max you should have it on the road in time for your P's :)
  22. Myles what about a pair of old school alloys like mine they polish up a treat.
  23. Where are you getting your dash from? are you going s/h or having it recovered?.
  24. I would endorse Doug Potts worked with him on chassis project a few years back. :P
  25. A good locksmith will make all the keys match or even just cut a key without a pattern, corollas came with 2 keys one did just the doors and ignition the other did all of the locks
