  1. As you know most KE10/11's were built by AMI using some local content, this probably included using local paint colours. Might not show up in jap or US colour listings.
  2. Fitting a boxer EJ between the chassis rails/strut towers will be your biggest hurdle, it's been done to an ae86 with some extensive cutting, i would say a a ke30 would be much narrower.
  3. Everything is different. The KE2x had the TE2x varient overseas so it was already mostly set up to accept a T engine and T box. The KE1x only had the K engine and K box, so everything to fit will be custom. In saying that, a 3T can and has been done but is a very tight fit.
  4. More photos...
  5. The whole idea is a joke, designed to allow Aston Martin to conform to average emissions rules allowed on their cars.
  6. Try 12A rotary mounts (RX2, RX3, RX7 etc) something like this Still available from Mazda for around $35ea
  7. Not saying the size doesn't exist (although i believe Australia could be the only market with this tyre in a 14?), it's just that when i was sourcing tyres for a set of MA61's the 185/60/14 weren't suitable. With Re001's being my first choice, a 195, 205 or 215 would have been ideal in 14's but weren't being produced, most likely due to lack of demand for these sizes particularly in a 60 profile. Btw... check the homepage http://advancetyres.com.au/ size is listed different plus buy 4 tyres includes fitting and balancing, which makes the deal a bit better
  8. I assumed that because Bridgestone don't have that size, only 185/60 for 14's Reference: Bridgestone Website
  9. In that case you'll have to factor in fitting costs too...
  10. I assume they mean 185/60/14? not 195 Doesn't say if it includes fitting, balancing etc... or delivery? Got a quote today for that size $119 fitted which seemed reasonable Bridgestone stores have a special at the moment with a $50 fuel card for a set of these tyres.
  11. Ae71 crossmember is obviously too wide, if you were to cut it down you would also have to cut down the rack or find a shorter alternative. This could affect ackerman angles etc, gets too hard to work out. Ke20 crossmember just fits width wise but mounting holes are a little out. I have done this and found it pushes the front wheels forward (caster). I couldn't push the crossmember back enough as it then fouls on the pitman/idler arms and steering linkages. Other pictures i've seen with this done confirms the added caster. Fitting a rack to Ke1# crossmember won't work too well because the lower wishbone arms get in the way. It could work if you converted the wishbones to common lca's. A bit of work involved, an engineer should be consulted.
  12. Check which model you have XT130 had the X holden starfire engine not the 21R, therefore borg diff and gbox The 21R was in the RT133 (looks the same as XT130), this had T series diff and W50 box.
  13. It seems your the one who bought the red one advertised. You'll find that the ke1x front end is totally different to later models, meaning suspension/strut swaps and the like wont be easy. Easist upgade is the ke3x/5x/7x discs and calipers, unfortunately it would mean you wont be able to use the stock wheels. Check the FAQ for more info relating to ke1x. btw... hows the stock diff holding with the 20v?
  14. I have both ke1x and ke2x disc struts. The ke1x has akebono calipers and the ke2x I'm unsure as there are no marking other than local manufactured seals (pads are listed for south east asia). I assumed both have the same discs as per manufacturers listings but just took a rough measurement and it does appear the ke2x disc is slightly taller (40mm) than the ke1x disc (36mm).
  15. EK-EG Civic radiators are a smaller size, might be a good fit?
