Okay a bit of an up date Everything is ready to go engine wise I'm just waiting on Castle Hill Toyota to get back to me with prices for the bits I need to rebuild the engine. Other then that It's all been painted and polished so it looks the goods. Still need to find a clutch at the right price and replace the front and rear seals in the box, also need to run some wires to the box for the reverse lights, the intake manifold has a crack on one of the welds where it has been cut and shut. After taking the motor out After a couple tins of degrease and some pressure pack

The wagon is pretty pimpin :fuzz: I wish i was a nerd, cushy job behind a desk lookin at porn all day :bash: This car doesn't deserve 110% just the motor, will switch to a sedan one day but I hear what your saying, this was my first and last attempt at an engine bay P.S. Autotune FTW, the Autronic is awesome Nah mate the TRD floor mats :y: and the rest of the interior is kinda blue Cheers Dan

Hey hey, whats up everyone This is a bit of a quick intro, names Dan been kickin around here for a bit since I got my new rolla. It was supposed to be a cheap daily that I could have some fun with. I sold my ute that I'd rebuilt over 3 years from the ground up for something a bit more family friendly and that doesn't need to be washed every couple of days, but it hasn't turned out that way, but for all the little and large problems i wouldn't swap it for the world, well maybe a large tropical island. :bash: This is what I ended up with 84 KE70 wagon 4agte & T50 5spd Cut & shut intake manifold/plenum Home made? exhaust manifold vl high flowed T3/T4 Turbo @ 15psi vl turbo front mount & radiator (was held in with zip ties ) GFB basic BOV Autronic ecu Lift pump, 1ltr surge tank, vl turbo pump, regulator & bigger fuel lines Full 3 inch exhaust from turbo back, resonator & straight through 3 inch muffler Tacho dash Boost gauge Lowered with flipped leaves in rear & cut springs in front? Ex owner claimed 200rwkw @ 20psi? we'll see Rest of the car will remain standard untill I can aford to upgrade stopping and turning Flew to Melbourne from Sydney and drove it home almost 10 hour's and it never missed a beat, until a week later when it started blowing smoke, The rest is down there VVVV Got stuck in to the wagon over the last few days got the engine out for a rebuild and started stripping it down, except for the fly wheel bolts only got three out with the rattle gun but the rest wouldn't budge, Have tried every thing but to no avail, doesn't help that the heads where in pretty poor shape to start with. So I'm going to leave that for the engineer to deal with. For now I've just tided up some of the dodge wiring in the engine bay and covered it up with the split conduit stuff. I also started pulling what i could off the motor and was surprised to find no cam bearings? I assume this is how it's supposed to be, I wont be going all out on the engine just what it needs plus maybe get the rods shot pend(spelling?), the bottom end balanced and a general tidy up of the ports/manifolds as well as a fresh coat of paint but can't decide on the colours. Should i play it safe with black and silver or add some colour? will have to put my beer cap umm i mean thinking cap on Started to remove some cancer to and decided to mould some custom all be it a bit ghetto fiber glass flares to accommodate some fat rubber later on. Any way that's all i can be stuffed typing for now Here's a few random pics of the progress so far Enjoy Harvo

It just looks like the kind of car that should be rear wheel drive, and there would be some thing wrong if it couldn't embarrass the old wagon in every aspect and then some. IMHO It looks to tough to be FWD If only it was that easy :hmm:
-
Shit mate, sucks hay same thing happend to mine a while back but they stole the wheels, stereo, gear box and then came back after it was burned for the engine that wasn't even run in yet. :D :( come on karma :y: :)

too bad it's FWD such a wast :D

Have been meaning to ask this for a while now but seem to forget everything as soon as i turn the computer on :D When I got my wagon the spare was floating around in the back, Had a look and seems as tho it should be mounted under the fuel tank? but I can't see how it could be fixed into position. does any one know or be able to put up a pic of the spares location and if it's under the tank as i suspect, How is it held in place? Cheers Dan

Hi everyone, Have been reading through a few of the posts (rules and stuff) which all seem fair enough, so i thought i had better come and introduce my self. My names Daniel or Harvo (HRV-00S) As most know me My second car was an 85 KE70 sedan that i inherited off of my big sister. It was just another stocko red rolla like most seem to have been at some stage. Mods where minimal including: Rebuilt 4K to run unleaded, Mags, Stereo, Rust removal and paint Was a fairly ghetto job all done in the drive way :) Here's a couple of pic's What a wast, all they took was the stock rims and the 5spd box :y: So that was the end of that. I built this over the last few years, spent way to much time and money on this one. Has just been sold to fund my new rolla wagon (84 KE70) which i fly from Sydney to Melbourne to pick up on saturday and my sleepy new rolla Well that's it for know will hopefull get to come on a cruise on day but it's hard to find the time with a wife and baby girl that take up all my spare time. Cheers Dan

Ok I'v been chasing some parts for the front suspension/brake up grade for my KE70. Have read through some tech but some of the details are a bit sketchy. What I'm after is: Year modle of the Corona XT130 for the struts? Year modle of the Hilux for the LN106 calipers? 2wd or4wd? Year modle of the Mitsubish Starion for the master cylinder? and can that be substuited for one from a R32 GTST Skyline NON ABS? Do i need different LCA's if so what from? Just want to make sure i get the right partsfrom the right car Also has any one had trouble getting the struts? I sent an email to a wreckers and they said they could not sell them to me if they are going to be used for a conversion? This dude must be telepathic cause i only asked for a price that's it. But he did say to give him a ring Cheers Dan
