Hahaha, If I get my car back in time and there's enough people keen was going to see about a mini cruise from this side of the mountains and meet up with the next Radrollaz run up the mountains. If chrisandliz are keen there should be a few more that can make the effort :D Cheers Dan

These Rims Are From What Kind Of Toyota?
HRV-00S replied to evil00smurk's topic in KExx Corolla Discussion
Whats wrong with poverty...umm I mean positive dish? :D -
$180 pretty cheap mate, I paid about $350 for 4lt of acrylic (same colour) You really get what you pay for with paint/primer/reducer IMO. But it depends what you want from the car, neat streeter or show? nice colour tho :D Cheers Dan

Fight it dude, tell them you were on your way to Aquarious car wash or some shit to remove it in an environmentally friendly way :hmm: I think it's pretty sus they pulled you in and didn't even test you. Edit: ;) I like my rolla cause it's just that little bit different from the norm and it will embarrass most try hard bogans in commodores /falcons Dislike how long it spends at the mechanics, usually twice the expected time. Not having enough coin to fix the weak links and hence having to drive it like a pussy in fear of breaking something expensive. Also the body roll it gets under acceleration going in a straight line.......scary stuff. That is all

Radrollaz Cruze To Blue Mountains / Wentworth Falls
HRV-00S replied to radrollaz's topic in NSW / Sydney
Same as last cruise for me :hmm: The wagons running again and awaiting fine tuning on the dyno, but will have to see how reliable it's going to be. Might meet up at the service center if I can make it. The country lads will have to organise a mini cruise to the meet up on the M4 maybe ;) Cheers Dan -
X2 Just need a spare diff to play with :rocknroll:
-
Yes in the engine bay :rocknroll: If you pull these two hoses off, stick the garden hose into/over one the pipes thats coming out of the fire wall then you should get water coming out the other side. It will be going through the heater core, no water coming out = blocked heater core or wet floor :jamie:
-
Make sense now? Do the same with the tap, take both hoses off and flush all the shit out with the GARDEN hose. Just a quick question: Is it generally pretty hot where you got the car from/live? like in the desert or something? Because it looks as tho the heater has never been used with the amount of shit in that hose you pulled off :rocknroll:
-
pull the bottom hose off the radiator champ
-
If the gauge is up to temp then it should be blowing hot air :rocknroll: Might be a good idea to pull the rest of the heater hoses off and check them for blockages. Stuff the garden hose in the end if you have to. Same with the heater core, re-move the two hoses at the fire wall jam the hose in the passenger side (out let) and see if you can't get some flow happening. Might want to check the thermostat isn't full of crud too.
-
Needle nose pliers in the round end of the pin and twist and pull maybe? or an angle grinder :lolcry: With the flush you drain the coolant and fill with clean water, then add the radiator flush run car for how ever long the container said, drain and repeat as needed, *make sure the heater is in the HOT position* This stuff <---Click
-
Hahaha, go down to your local auto parts supplier and get yourself some radiator flush, read directions and hope for the best  While you've got the hose off start the motor and let it pump the water out and any other shit that is in there too. By the looks of that the hole cooling/heating system is going to need a really good flush or two or three :lolcry: That wires just an earth wire, but it needs to be there. Edit: While your at the shop get some hose clamps to replace those dodgy factor looking things
-
Sounds like a blockage to me try pulling some hoses off to check that water is going through the system, be careful not to burn yourself and remember to top up the radiator. If the taps stuffed replace it.
-
Get someone to operate the HOT/COLD switch on the dash and you watch if the valve is opening or closing, basicly if the stuff attached to the tap is moving it should work. Might want to give it a spray with some WD40 or similar.
-
It all looks to be connected as it should be, check that the switch on the dash is actually operating the tap before you pull any thing apart, could be broken or disconnected at the tap. The cable on my old KE70 was broken and the tap was in the off position so no heat, pulled or pushed the tap the other way in or out can't remember. I just left it open during winter and closed during summer  The second pic is the fan? I think. The heater core is in the black box directly behind the center console/on top of the transmission tunnel. Cheers Dan
-
KE70's the only one still standard?
-
Yes mate, I'm a mechanical engineer and because of it I get free train travel. But theres no way I'm going on a train any time soon :(
-
I was going to recommend something like that but it sounded a bit dodgy as I was typing, I guess some have higher standards then others :( joking
-
There may be a cerclip under the rubber boot/grease, but I think it will need to be pressed out?
-
Some sealants only set on the flange of the parts and the stuff that gets squeezed out wont set can't remember the name. Edit: “anaerobic” gasket (cures in the absence of air)

Yeah, wouldn't be much of a cruise for me but kinda defeats the purpose :) Trying to think where else would be a good spot -

Looks like a fantastic day out, I'd be embarrassed to park my shit box among those fine rollas :) Any news on the next outing? -
pimpin :) Even the falcon is nice! Is that duel cab an EH?
-
Look at his signature dude, I don't think he care's :D I couldn't see reducing the size by half a inch causing to much trouble as long as it's a smooth transition, if it wasn't for the stupid angle on the shocks I'd just notch/tub the floor for the exhaust :hmm: maybe not. Cheers Dan
