  7. hey guys and girls i have been wondering what is the biggest diffrence between a ta22 and an ae71 t 50 gear box are the bellhousing anything alike?? what would you need to put a ta22 ta23 t50 behind a 4a??
  8. i don't beleive it is fuel issue due to being able to see the miss using the timing light tried adjusting fuel mixture didnt change still missed found the rotor has a bit of play and may have a leak in vaccum advance did the 4ac in ae71 come out with points or eletric
  9. need help car wont operrate underload i bought a ae71 on friday i drove it around a bit that night and very intermedatly came a miss fire i didnt bother to much and just left it next day drove it in the morning fine still had a intermedatly miss i went put some 100 octane fuel in it still had a miss i thought it could be spark played around found a blocked fuel filter replace corrion in spark plugs, dizze cap and points replaced all replaced leads and still missed got the points professionly done and still miss got back to a mates house went to start when it was hot and didnt fire blow out fuel line it would start but under load would miss fire left it till this morning started when cold but when warmed up started to miss hooked up a timing light and checked spark ran fine at idle when reved it would miss and spark didnt go through does anyone have any advise
  10. i don't actual have the ratios i did the tappets when cold and I'm sure i put it in right the spring to the motor so the spring heats up and release
  11. hey guys i just got my head of my 3k motor ported and mechined the valves liped and new valve stem seals i just put it all back together and it is running like shit i have done the tappet gap and new oil and i still can hear them really bad the timing isnt goin my way either i set the point and did the timing and it is sounding like I'm running on 3 cylinders it is rough as all hell it has heaps of compression? i just don't understand what is wrong and the temperture is geting in the red but it has new thermo stat? can i please have some advice
  12. but does it matter about not being a full chassis vehicle most commercial vehicle are full chassis and isn't that why you can put such a larger motor in them??
  13. yeah he wont be but he offered take it to a panelbeater and get new paint were the damage is so something good came out of it
  14. hey guys got some newish rims they measure 15 inch by 6.5 made by impul found at the wreckers $80 for the set and dad took my car for a drive and it broke down in double lines glad it was only the points but my dad bent the drives door hinges and the door wouldn't open without damaging the front gaurd did a little home panel beating and got it to work i just need some advice should i do work to the 4k and get some power out of it or should i do a 4age conversion if 4age 16v or 20v ???????????? please give me some advice i just would like some opions on which way i should go thank you ballzy
