Hey everyone, Someone broke into Nellie (KE30) and busted up my drivers side door lock. Am majorly peeved, but just thankful nothing else was wrecked. (Didn't have a go at the ignition, didn't steal anything, didn't even mess up the interior) Which begs the question, why break in in the first place? There's a club lock which is in plain sight so unless they were going to go to the effort of getting that off... Anyway. Has anyone replaced the door locks in their car with spares from another, and also the ignition and boot? I currently have 4 keys for my car cos she's a bit Frankenstein after various other break ins... (1 for petrol cap, one for boot, one for ignition/doors) and it'd be nice to cut that number back to the magic One. I called a place in Oakleigh who told me after parts, keying up, and labour it will cost me around $140. Which I guess isn't too bad, but something tells me the God of Street Parking has another break in scheduled for my car sooner or later so was tossing up the wrecker option. (hence seeing if anyone thought it was even worth considering the effort) Discuss.

ha i think Autumn's already here. All the maple trees in my street have shed most of their leaves and there are masses and masses of them just lying in big piles! So much fun to run through, although half the time I'm expecting a snake to jump out and bite me, so maybe not so much a good idea. I feel bad for you SA'ers 9 days straight of 35°C+ heat! my work nor my ke30 nor my house has air con. best thing I ever did was carry around a face washer and a big bottle of water.

Yeh definitely interested, although I won't be able to afford any cruises until about May methinks, which is when I'm assuming you were planning on having this anyway... I hear that the Great Alpine Way is a pretty challenging road - those of us with older cars may have a bit of a struggle. What sort of route were you thinking of taking? It'd be good to go through the national park if there are any decent roads that cut through.

lol you let Nicola drive your car. I don't know about you but my stress levels skyrocket when I let someone else drive my car and then I can't sleep in the passenger seat regardless of how tired I am.
